I think it needs to be kept in mind that Kilkenney is a far lefty. Also she distorted a few things. Taxes for one. Taxes revenue overall in Alaska is high, but only when you include the tax on oil companies. in fact Alaska has no personal income tax at all. There is also no state sales tax only local. Only 25 towns/cities have property tax and last year the average property tax was $1228. The majority of the property tax comes from oil and gas properties. There is no death tax.
As far as the sales tax that Palin initiated, it was a regressive tax to pay for city improvements. It was designed to decrease annually until it went away, and no longer exists.
Banning books. Aparently this comes from a city council meeting where several voters were complaining about the language in several books. Palin asked the city librarian how those books could be removed. That was as far as it went.
As for the rest, I got tired of reading it.
