I work a few more hours, but the comraderie that you get working for a company that truly cares for its employees is well worth it. Don't listen to what these idiots tell you about how bad the company is. True, my first year I made $30k, but my 2nd year as an Assistant Manager, I made $70k. Being a branch manager, I'm on pace to make $300,000 this year.

Not only has Enterprise had a strong financial impact on my life, it has taught me strong morals, ethics, and really has given me the satisfaction of knowing that I am making a difference in everybody's lives.
Please do not believe this. No AM makes 70K and no BM makes 300K. This company fills your head with one thing; greed. That's what most people are into though so if that's you go for it. The company has it's positives and its drawbacks, and I agree that the people you meet make a huge difference. Just know that if you ever had any morals, ethics, or anything that resembles scruples, they will all disappear in a matter of months because if you stand up for them you will be fired. Good luck, and please do not listen to this robot.

I'm sure Roy Brown will vouch for him/her. He is the authority on credibility.

You have got to be kidding me, $300K as a branch manager, $70K as an assistant manager. You have got to be F'ing kidding me. Save your Enterprise bullshit for the poor suckers that you interview.

Just for shits and giggles, for this to have an outside chance of happening you would have to take control of a satelite branch of 20 cars and turn it into a international airport operation.

I work in accounting and I had access to all the company documentation on pay for every position from an assistant manager all the way to the Group Vice President. I would be amazed if even your Regional Vice President made that much. Without question $300K surpases the area manager pay and Regional Rental Manager pay.

Of course. When claims of pay come onto this thread from e-monkeys, it will be assumed as an automatic lie without proof.

Say what you want, the numbers speak for themself. We have a 49% turnover rate from 90 day employees to branch managers in the Dallas area. Maybe this is a great thing to have on your resume, with so many people leaving? My question is, "Why do have so many people leaving and what are we going to do about it." Region EE is only concerned about filling vacant spots not building it's bench. Once again, they are showing us that they have no concept of long term thinking, only putting a bandage on the problem and hoping to stop the bleeding.

I filled out an on-line application a few hours before reading this. My question is, is the management trainee program really worth it?

Will it help me secure a position in the industry I want?

I have no intention of making a career out of ERAC or anything..I just figured I could work there for a year to get some more B2B experience on my resume.

Any suggestions?
go for it and dont look back. from a realistic standpoint, where else can an individual who is not being heavily recruited by corporate america go and be in a postion to run your own business, retire at age 40, earn six figures in six years, and achieve fame and fortune by earning "pro athlete money". good luck and i wish you the best.

A family member of mine talked non-stop about getting promoted his entire first year. When he finally got promoted to assistant manager, it turned out that he was getting paid less and had to work even more hours. He is already talking about his NEXT promotion.

He is obsessed with the highly paid management at his company while not even questioning if what they say is true. He talks about this one VP that is earning 9 million a year and has only been there for 7 years. People who really do have a lot of money certainly don't brag about it to a 23 year old underling. What always gets me the most is the 'virtual mba'. If companies like Goldman, GE, and Unilever don't consider their own rotational programs as an mba, I certainly don't think a rental car company is a relevant mba program.

If you want to go into pharma sales, I think a marketing analyst program would be a good start to your career. National banks like wells, citi, wachovia, and boa probably all have decent ones (although they are competative to get in). Insurance and consumer product companies should also have such programs.
