And if I make it through to the third interview and get offered the position, despite all of the things that I've read here, I think I'm going to take it. I know it's long hours, hard work, and relatively low pay. But (despite what I plan to say in interviews) this is not something I want to do for the long-term. I think a year of hard work will be good for me and will give me valuable experience--no matter what field I ultimately end up in. I suppose it's sort of a test for me. An "If I can do this, I can do anything" thing. If nothing else, I think this forum has actually convinced me to take the job if I get it. Sounds crazy ... but it's true! Thoughts/Survival tips? What to expect in second and third interviews?

It's really not worth it. I am sure you can do better if you keep looking. I am assuming you just graduated and feel pressured to get a job. Getting a decent job (not ERAC) takes time and I promise you if you keep trying you will eventually land something worth your time. Working at ERAC for a year (if you last that long) would be wasting a year of your life. We only have a limited number of years to live on Earth so why would you waste that prescious time hustling Damage Waiver to upset customers? It's your choice, but if you are patient I gaurantee you can get a better job than ERAC.

If you are REALLY still going to actually work for this company, then the first year is where you will still actually get PAID for your hours. However, it looks better on your resume to be with a company longer than a year, and to have some management experience. But if you're still going to try to work for the company, in your interviews it's just the normal stuff they look for -- lots of motivation, desire to succeed, and GREAT customer service (customer is always right, blah blah). be outgoing, be EXCITED, and tell them you're willing to work hard and are looking for a long term career. Follow those rules and you're guaranteed a job. Good luck......................... but don't be surprised if you're back on this site bitching every so often!

and why the f* would you want to work in a place like that? There are countless places to get experience that will at least pay a little better.

Nobody is bitching about anything being "complex and difficult", instead they are bitching about the demeaning work, duties, and incompetent leadership they must deal with on a daily basis.

I have just left Enterprise and what a relief. If you do take the job, do not trust anyone and look out for only yourself. The whole place is full of users, who will say and do anything to get what they want. People who do stay on there, have only one thing going on in their life and that is Enterprise, and it is really sad to watch them on nights out, conversations consist of Enterprise and only Enterprise. The idea of promotion is great if you are prepared to be under-hand and kiss the back-sides of some of the most gutless and spineless managers you will ever meet. Hard work does not come into getting promoted, lots of arse kissing does. Get your experience if thats what you want, but believe me you can do so much better than this position. I have a wonderful career now earning a hell of a lot more than Enterprise wages for far less hours.....And my suits are for meetings, not washing cars!!!!!
