Default Management Trainee Is a Joke Position

Do not work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a Management Trainee! You will regret working for them!! Enterprise is the worst job anybody can ever obtain right out of college. You would be better off working as a car prep for a local car wash. The trainee program is a scam and you will regret working for them. I worked for a branch manager that came from Mexico (i still contend that he was illegal and only was able to work in the U.S. because his kids were born here), did not have a college degree, and could barely speak English.

Because Enterprise is basically a pyramid scheme wrapped up into a nice package. $1000 bonuses for getting someone signed. They promise mild pay equal to fast food work, about $30,000. Then fail to tell you this monster amount of money is going to cost you about 60-70 hours a week. $30,000/52 weeks is about $577 before taxes, at 60 hours per week (being optimistic) equals a whopping $9.62 per hour. They make their Management Trainees wash cars, toilets, pickup customers, push unnecessary insurance, do counter work, and any other task that they don't want to pay someone else to do. You basically do all of these tasks for under $10 per hour, before taxes, and make all the money for the upper management. To build your sales in hopes of making $12 per hour you call your friends, family, and anyone else to beg them to rent cars from you. This in turn makes a slight spike in sales, you recieve a $50 gift card to JC Penney to buy more work clothes to ruin while you wash cars. All while the upper management takes credit for the spike in sales and recieves his bonus for all the employee's hard work under him. Pyramid????? I think so. The only difference is you get to tell everyone you work for an actual company and get to wear a suit. Do yourself a favor and tell anyone you care for to run from this Pyramid Scheme!!!

As an MT they send you to training and have big wigs come in and talk to you like they really give a sh*t about you... and they make you think that you can be making $1,000,000 like the GM, but lets think about this... how many positions are available at ERAC that people actually make GOOD money?!?!?........ NOT MANY!!! So the chances of you becoming someone who makes a couple hundred thousand/ year is slim to none, but they make you think that if you stick to it you will get the money!!!! UNTURE! And there is nothing to look forward to in the next position above you! As an assistant manager you work just as many or more hours than an MT and you don't make all that much more than an MT and you are stuck in that position for about 1 year! What I am saying here is that the hours are always long no matter where you are in the management chain. And it's even worse when you become an area manager because when your area is short-staffed like EVERY ERAC area in the world is then you have to work every weekend!!!!

Also, you do not get paid for what you are worth!!! I am sorry but 30,000/year when you are working 55hours/week just isnt enough!!! Oh and what a wonderful company that all of you work for you tell them you have found another job and they tell you to leave and they do not pay you for the last two weeks that you work there like a good company would!!! As a matter of fact the company I work for now-- when you put in your two weeks they give you the option to leave and they still pay you for the two weeks or they let you finish out the job!

I hope I helped to save some of you by writing this message!

Oh and like the other person was saying I can't tell you how many outfits were ruined while I worked at this hell hole! They made us wash cars in the rain, snow, whatever it was HORRIBLE!!!!

Isn't the POTENTIAL and the BIG PICTURE worth it? I know I'm going to buy me my dream house in East Honolulu when I make ARM.
