Default The Extra Benefits

Ok ... so we all know there is some seriously sucky parts to working for ERAC but here's a twist .... What are some of the extra benefits that you get from working at ERAC??

For example: The customers who rent every single weekend, multiple cars, bring in boxes and boxes of donuts and soda or coffee! Or, the fact that if you make friends with the managers at Firestone or Goodyear who do your branch's LOFRs, you get GREAT deals on your own personal car when you take it in!

Anyone else want to chime in???

There were definitely perks to the rental gig. I worked at a branch right next to the airport and people that flew in would rent from us, well of course when they returned they would need a ride back to the airport. I was more than happy to take those people because they would usually tip. Not bad considering you are out of the office for about 15 minutes and you get a little extra scratch on the side.

I love the use of the word "scratch" here. It just seems so right, although I don't think I've heard it before. What region of the country are you in?

The person you are replying to is so obviously being sarcastic. 1st of all customers dont bring you donuts and bottles of soda. 2nd of all who cares about stuff like that anyway. I really can't think of any "perks" to working at ERAC. And driving people back to where ever they came from is part of the job so I'm suprised people were tipping you. And how much did you really get a 5. give me a break

One thing I missed when I quit was that when it wasn't busy, you could pull your car into the wash bay and clean it up. I like washing my car myself because the people you pay to do it never do as good a job as I do, but where I live there's not a hose to wash a car with. Plus I don't have all the nice car wash materials. And if the car preps weren't busy they'd usually help you dry it or wash the windows.

I miss that part of ERAC every time I pay for a car wash and they leave it all dripping and spotty.

you have to make your own benefits....

whilst i was at erac, i sold my car and used erac cars for one whole year..no insurance, no fuel costs (fuel card), and a choice of cars at the end of the night..obviously helps getting on with the AM and BM..

i used to stroll into work at 9ish and leave at 6 on the dot..when i needed a nice car for the weekend, i would 'reserve' a range rover vogue for a pag customer.lol

marketing meant going home early..

you have to be clever when it comes to working the system...

I used to where blue shirts in on purpose at least one time a week. My branch manager would say you need to where a white shirt or Im going to send you home. I used to come right back at him and say well if I were at home on time a few days a week maybe I would be able to do some laudrey so I can have a clean white shirt. Believe me Enterprise never paid you enough money to be able to use the dry cleaners and you couldn't afford to buy white shirts every week. I'm so glad I don't have to wear any white shirts and ties and have to climb into someones filthy rental car to vacum up someones filth.

"Borrowing" cars for trips, making side cash deals, charging extra side money for the "for hire" rentals. Even had a nice gig renting for parents whose kids were taking their DL tests. Stick it to the man!

This certainly can't be true. I was always under the assumption all ERAC employees are making unreal amounts of $$$$. Its gotta be true with all the smiles on their faces.
