| Hi Everyone, Well, I must say it sounds like a nightmare to work at ERAC, but hey, some folks need the cash and need an opportunity to pull themselves out of ruts in their lives. I worked for a company once, right out of college, where it was not uncommon to work until midnight or 3 AM during the week. Also, it was not uncommon to work all weekend. I was young and it was a job, so I put up with it, gained great experience, and moved on after three years. Anyhow, the reason I am posting here is because the recent company I worked for went though some downsizing and laid a lot of people off. I may need to do something quickly, at least for a while, until I can land on my feet. I am looking at ERAC as a quick fix. One problem is that it seems these days companies want to scour your background and uncover distant, very dead skeletons in your closet. I had a misdemeanor theft WAAAAAY back in 1990 when I was in college...only "black eye" on my record. I have been a saint since then (and before that...just a youthful error in judgment). This has never been an issue, because companies in the past I worked for were concerned about felonies or any crime in the past 7 years. Will this be an issue if I choose to go this route? Anyhow. thanks in advance for any input! Last edited by Cleaver08; 2007-12-20 at 14:45. Reason: title |

On the application, what do they ask with regard to criminal background? Have you ever had a felony, have you been convicted in the last 7 years, or have you ever been convicted of anything? Thanks! |

| I see. Thanks again for the reply. What state do you live in BTW? I'm in TX. It's never been an issue, but these days they seem to be digging deep. It really sucks when you get drilled for youthful shenanigans. |

| you'll be fine i've had a few minor misd over the years and it never came up interviewing at erac and unforunatley i got the job (few yrs ago) erac can't be too picky, and the majority of their hires, being 2.00 gpa students from beerU type of colleges, have past convictions for booze related type of stuff. twice when i was working there two different BM's missed work cause they were locked up from drunken chaos the night before. and both of them kept their jobs |

Thanks for the reply. I'm not saying I will do it, but hey, I may be in a situation where I need to pay the bills for a while. I just wanted to know what to expect if I get into a "compromising situation". I guess you mean the BM's were involved in shenanigans (as I like to say). LOL! |

| And if you don't get the job at Enterprise...it'll be a blessing in disguise. __________________ Enterprise will always be around after you leave, for you, there will always be life after Enterprise |

| I think they mainly just care about your driving record and not your criminal record. |

| I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had 2 felonies from a mispent youth Erac did a background check and I never heard a word about them. Hell even when the government did a background check on me all I got was a few questions about them and since my record was clean for the past 15 years it was no big deal. |
