Default Thank you

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has posted on this site. I graduated college last year - was an All-American athlete and on the deans list academically. I am getting some great job offers and I am starting my MBA in August. Before finding this site I was about to take a job at ERAC. What a mistake this would have been. I do not understand how they make it sound so good - the business week top 5 places to launch a career etc. I though I was lucky to be getting calls back from recruiters. Now I am just going to take an office job for experience - lowest offered salary is 32000 plus bonuses and benefits and huge growth potential and if not ill leave with the experience and my MBA.

So just wanted to say thanks again! You guys saved me!

Not a problem. Congratulations on your achievements and best wishes in your future endeavors. 99% of what is posted on this site is accurate in that Enterprise promises prospective employees the world but never delivers. The promotion potential is severely over-exaggerated. I left in 2004 and have since found a legitimate career that warrants the time and money spent in my college degree and I know you will too!

This was the reply I got after rejecting their interview.

I am sorry to hear that negative press has discouraged you from looking
at the opportunities we have to offer. If you would like to discuss the
positive things about Enterprise I would welcome an interview.
Additionally the second interview in our hiring process is a branch
visit. This is where you would have the opportunity to spend some time
in a rental location speaking with our current employees about the job,
company, opportunity for advancement and any other thing you may want to
know about. I would hope that you will look at Enterprise objectively
and thoroughly before making a career decision.

If you reconsider or would like to discuss your concerns I am available.

This should be a dead giveway on why not to take this job. Any company that takes offense when you reject them and keeps trying to push themselves on you is frankly not worth your time. It shows they are desparate to find new blood.. ehem I mean "people."

You're a sap. Nothing but a bunch of losers and ex ERAC employees who couldn't hack it giving you "advice" and, apparently, you're stupid enough to take it. Best of luck to you---you'll need it!

Here we go with the "couldn't hack it" talk. Have another cup of Kool-aid! Most of us that left are smart enough to realize that ERAC is a dead end. Wghat are you, a 3 month MT still thinking you'll be an ARM or RVP in 3 years and making those 6 figs? Get real. No ARMs make 6 figs. And there are not nearly enough RVP vacancies for everyone to move up. So as everyone else here figured out it's a pyramid scheme plain and simple. Now if you'll excuse me I have some work to do as I am leaving early today and, oh wait a moment...it's a long weekend! Oh man, that's awesome. Glad I have a real job with real holidays off. Enjoy work on Monday sucker!
