Default I worked for ERAC for 5 yrs

Do the hrs suck? Yes. Could the pay be better? Yes. Can you make more money every year you are w/ the co.? Yes, I did. ERAC is one of the best companies you could ever work for. It teaches discipline, hard work, and is a great company to learn from out of college. All you people are pissed off for various reasons, but the ex eracers on here probably sucked then and suck at what they are doing now. If you put up an anti-web site of their current co., they would probably be all over that complaining as well. The bottom line is, the owner of this site has some real deep rooted issues and this is one avenue to get out some frustrations. GET A LIFE, if you put the amount of effort you put into this site, you would be succesful in any field. ERAC is a great company to get started in. What other company can you say you will make more money in each year you are there?

Default Why am I gone?

Because ERAC taught me how to run my own business and I went for it! In order to be succesful, you have to take risks, and I took a huge risk by leaving such a great company to do my own business. You can do whatever you want, you just have to go for it.

Default Huh?

If you work for any company that doesn't pay you more each year you're there, what the hell is the point of going to work everyday? My current position (and first post-ERAC position) gave me an 8% raise w/in 6 mos and I'm up for another raise now. I've been promoted twice w/in 10 months w/the company AND they are paying for me to get my MBA....why does it sound like so many think ERAC is "one of a kind" w/pay and promotion structures out there? Not every company will make you stay in a position for 5 yrs before there is a glimmer of hope that you will be put up for a promotion. We live in the fastest moving economy in the world, people---let's keep that in mind...

Default Smart Move Nick

First of all, way to go to our illustrious leader, the Admin, who fought hard to get our discussion board back! It's sad that a few bad apples (or one bad apple impersonating many) likely was the reason for this site getting shut down.

As for Nick who decided not to work for Enterprise, good for you as you possibly made the best career move in your lifetime!

I should have gotten a hint when one of the manager's who was interviewing me said that the employee turnover in an 18 month period was close to 50%. I've done a little research and the only other job that has that much turnover is the insurance agent business.

Needless to say I lasted a full 3 months which not surprisingly in retrospect was longer than almost 3/4 of my training class.

I would've asked a question to that manager who said people were "knocking down the door to work for Enterprise". If that was the case, why then do you constantly have to run ads in the Help Wanted sections of all the local newspapers and at the same time be "regulars" on college campuses looking for unsuspecting graduating seniors?

Trust me, you'll do better in ANY other job that's out there.

Default Re: Has Anyone Not Accepted an offer Due to this site

I was supposed to go to my 3rd interview with the area manager yesterday. After reading this site and many other opinions about working at enterprise i decided to not even show up to the interview. I think i made a wise decision. I hope so

Doubt it. You just made a HUGE mistake. When you compare the total number of 56,000 employees, to the 25-30 ex-employees and disgruntled current employees that contribute to this site, you have to question whether you are getting both sides of the story.

he didnt make a mistake.thats 56,000 current employees...i bet 25,000 started this year and are waiting to leave asap...the people who defend the mt programme are hilarious.you know it blows but because you still work there you dont want to lose face...you are all lying about the great salary as well...its not anywhere near what you guys tell people...no one who works there 6 years earns 6 figures...keep dreaming!
