Wrong, the medical device industry has been way too greedy within the past two decades and have kept coming out with new devices every few years, thus forcing hospitals and other health care businesses to continually update their equipment. These devices do not necessarily provide any improvement over the previous models and they do not go under severe scrutiny as drug companies would go through from the FDA. It is predicted that the federal government, especially if Democrats take over, will be taking over and enforcing the medical device industry with stricter regulations.

Ever wondered what would happen to the pharma industry and medical device industry if we didn't privatize medicare and medicaid and just had a single payers system? You can then kiss all that money going to crooked salesmen goodbye.

I took home about a grand per paycheck after taxes and med insurance working as an MT for a branch in FL (no dependents either). I averaged about 50 to 52 hours per week. Of course, there's no state income tax out here so it's a little higher than most states. I think the base pay for our group was like $10.69 per hour.
