Default New candidates please pay attention.

Although there are many lies and exaggerations in these posts, the underlying theme is true. ERAC is a horrible place to work and have a career. Upper management cares about nothing but lining their pockets and getting themselves ahead, NOT YOU! It is sad because the company used to be different. It used to be a great place where people cared about each other. That is what made it different, it truly cared. I guess ERAC outgrew its values. If you join, use it to pad your resume and get out as fast as possible. If you stay, you will become a fat, disgruntled human being who is forced to compromise their values to move forward. I was no longer willing or able and I can tell you I am much happier being gone. Life begins after ERAC.

In a real pyramid scheme, you don't suceed if the people below don't suceed. In ERAC, they just outright fuck those at the bottom and in the middle.

I agree! The backstabbing, the lying, the general stupidity, the junior high school attitude and ethics, "marriage stops at the door of enterprise", the favoritism and selective rules enforcement were all reasons I almost had a nervous breakdown while working there.

Few could really love working at erac, and if you don't love what you do then you will never be happy.

The choosing of your continued profane language handicapped what could otherwise have been a real point ....

restricting one's freedom of speech is likened to totalitarian politics such as fascism and communism. I would argue that the use of expletives is necessary as the occassion calls for their use. Every great leader the world has ever known has expressed themselves through the use of fiery foul language. In the context of this forum, their use becomes somewhat of an imperative......instead of....my bm was a fucking asshole....it becomes: i very much disliked my bm.....the latter completely alters the tone of the statement, ultimately destroying the authenticity of the piece.

That's when you show some creativity by instead saying, "my BM was a fornicating anal orifice". (Even just "a real anal orifice" will do.) We all know what you mean and what words you're thinking, but you're doing it with more class and making some do a little more thinking (not to mention having respect for people who can't get past those words to see the message.) You get the point across even as people who agree with the words you didn't say are chuckling!

(Yeah - I know - call me a nerd. It's late and my brain cells are tired.)

Honey you should have eaten you some Prozac! No reason to have a nervous breakdown over a silly little job like Enterpuke!

The choosing of your continued profane language handicapped what could otherwise have been a useful response to the original post .. btw: do you speak to your mother this way ? Or .. do you just come online and Mr.- Big-Stuff throw around your profanity like this ?

"I'm out here getting my ass kicked and every time I drive down the road I wanna jerk the wheel into a Goddamn bridge abutment!" Tommy Boy

That was me every day at that job. There is nothing good about it. The VAST majority of the people who like the job were people who breezed through college slinging bullshit out of their mouths at every minuet. Think, when you were younger what did you want to be? A Astronaught, a Cowboy, A Cop, a Fireman, A Rock Star, A movie Star etc. etc.? For the most part we all wanted to do something great with our lives. But did any us/you sti there and say at the age of 10: "Gosh, I just want to get out there and rent cars when I am older!."???? NO! Its not a dream, its a job that people take when they realize they pissed 4+ years away on college to major in something they either a.) dont want to do. or b.) want to do it, but its a job they will never be able to get into (ie. majors like Zoology, Philosophy, and Sociology.) That is what I did, but eventualy I got smart. I transfered, and on the first day in the new office I walked in, rented a few cars, sold my soul to get people to buy DUB then went on lunch, looked myself in the mirror and then walked out, threw my tie on the ground and said "fuck this, i quit". Yes I could have been more professional, but to hell with it.

My point is, this job turns you into a monster. You work too much, you love to little, you drink or do hard drugs (sometimes both) too excessivly and you gain too much weight. You end up dating in work, which sucks because have you ever dated anyone you saw 12 hours during the day, then at home and all you can talk about is work? Its HORRIBLE.

Dont work here, keep looking. I work 9-5 M-Fri now at a Doctors office and although I dont love it, I dont have to wear a suit and clean cars, and I make more than I did at Enterprise.

I have said this before but yes the world needs ditch diggers, and I can think of no better ditch digger than an Enterprise Rent A Car employee. Spare yourselves and run before the douche bag ERAC warriors grab hold of you and suck every last breath out until all you see, hear and speak is green.

You need to raise your intelligence to rise above my profanity then. Sometimes I forget that the word "fuck" is offensive to some people, sorry. At least you caught my drift in the post :)
