Default Over promise & under deliver

Well, the stuck it to me too, hired me & promised me the world. All that I got was a dxck of an area manager who has no time for anyone b/c he's broke and too worried about his own affairs, 65 hours a week with no overtime and a whole bunch of stress. I love the rewards for doing well in sales is booze, what a treat. Since I have a family to support and the only reason Im at Enterprise is for $$$$, I would think they would give you cash, what a dummy I am. For the fat, lazy lushes it was great.
The only way you get ahead in this company is to suck cxxk and I dont do that.
The CEO should be ashamed of himself for putting such aholes in control of this pyrmid scheme. And "tricking" the customers into buying coverage.

I would make more money working as a cashier in Publix and still work less hours. And since I have two degrees and am an educated person I'm done washing your hunk of junk cars.
Crash and burn ERAC!!

Things have been great since I left, I have an awesome job where I make more than I did as a BM and work a fraction of the hours. I get 11 paid holidays plus 5 weeks vacation. OT kicks in after 35 hours and the office closes early every Friday of a holiday weekend. I have traveled to Alaska, Mexico, Europe, Yellowstone and the Tetons, Florida Keys, Vegas, and many other places since I have left without any worry of getting time off or of what was happening while I was out. My wife and I are about to purchase our first home and we have lots of time to spend with family and friends, going to dinner, parties or skiing for the weekend. The warm weather is almost here and soon I'll be able to bang out of work at 3 to meet some friends for drinks right on the water. basically since leaving I have learned to enjoy life. I was recently in San Diego and actually rented a car from ERAC just for the day. We went to the beach, hung out, drank some beers. When I returned the car that afternoon I almost laughed when I saw the poor chimps in their white shirts and ratty ties, and here I was in shorts and a t-shirt and flip flops. Life is good. So c'mon, let's hear from current ERACers who are living the dream.
LOL .. when you know ERAC's AM and BM are gonna show up .... wear a white shirt and a NON "intimadting" tie ?

have a pump laying on your desk to provoke the "why the pump on your desk" question .. then answer with something like "just given ya a hand with the pumping" ... they might get it ???

Like one time when I was at a gasstation getting gas when a mercedes benz owner also there loudly complained about the price for a gallon of gas sticking his rolex wristed fist in the air ... I walked over, handed him my bottled evian water and asked him, smiling waaaaaaaaaary sweetly: "would you like to have a sip of water to help you wash down the foot you just stuck in your mouth" ????

EVERYONE at the gasstation cracked up on this one .. one guy even said "good show blondie" .. LOL LO LLOL .. just FYI .. have some fun with them ERAC boys/ride 'em cowboy ;) and be sure to keep posting for laffs ..

have a good one :) kick some butt !!! :) lol lol

What you didn't know is the idiot more than likely purchased the Benz and Rolex with his instant equity in his home that has now vanished into thin air. The e-chimp should be familiar with this game of pretend and make believe!

I'm not sure if I was living the dream since it was so rare that I actually slept, let alone had dreams that did not involve angry customers, humilation, and thoughts of suicide.

Law school is supposed to be far more stressful than anything in the world. I beg to differ.

I'm truly living the dream. At my current job, I can be wrong and still keep my job (I'm a meteorologist). I'm making twice the amount of money I was making at ECRAP. My schedule is the only bad part of the job since I have to work six 8 hour shifts. But I get 4 days off in between rotations. When you figure it all out, I'm working about 33 hours a week. I have so much time off now, I don't know what to do with myself.

Look at it this way. Is the rental market pretty well developed in your area? If so PASS. When I did my internship in Ohio in 1995 ERAC was a much smaller company and has grown to what it is today. Want to get promoted, just wait somone will be fired soon enough. In 1995 to get to an area manager position would take about 4-5 years. Now here is the likely timetable:
1. 1 year hourly and grill prep (test to become Asst mgr)
2. 1 year asst mgr smaller location
3. a. Branch mgr of your own 50 car branch
b. Asst of larger branch
c. Co-Asst mgr of very large branch
4. By year 3 if you aren't a branch mgr you either haven't been willing to move or you'll never be one so get out.
5. After 3 years you might be Branch Mgr at 100-200 car branch.
6. If you are at a smaller branch ie 150 cars they want you to move to 200+ branch or co-manage a very large branch.
7. After 4-5 years you might get to interview for City mgr. This means you'll have a handful of branches that you oversee.
8. If you are in a big city then you will be one of the city mgr.

The co-manager thing is relatively new to ERAC. It is designed to give the appearance of promotions without actually having to increase salary by that much. It also give plenty of opportuinity to find out who really wants to work 60-70 hours a week. This is a must to ERAC. It shows you bleed green.
Bottom line is you will start 60+ hours a week, if you want to get ahead. I know people on disability who earn more than the starter ERAC employee.
Anyone disagree?
