Default turned down

I went on two separate interviews with ERAC and both times I have been turned town. I'm a recent grad who was willing to be a "slave" to build up the old resume. I'm a female in my late 20's with minimal sales experience, although I was a hairdresser for 5yrs and sold some hair care products. What do you think was the reason for not hiring me?

I'm guessing you're blonde!

No, no just kidding. Couldn't pass that one up.

They could probably tell you wouldn't be happy dealing with the kind of things you would have to deal with. Probably something you said during the interview had them thinking you wouldn't like the cool aid.

Did you come off like you wouldn't sleep with your area manager or manager to get ahead, because that is the womans place in the ERAC world. Ok not totally what group did you interview with?

Just be glad you do not have to work there. ECRAP is a "boys club" and I have seen some women walked over because of their gender. Trust me...you are better off not working there.

I'm thinking it was my age...they had me fill out a sheet that asked for my age and race, they said it was for affirmative action purposes..I'm thinking it's a weeding out process. But your right, the hours are WAY too long for the little pay. I interviewed here in San Antonio, TX.

You are lucky. Praise the heavens you didn't get sucked up into that black hole.

You should have chosen not to list your race. Legally, Erac cannot not hire you because of that. They could get into trouble for just asking that.

Call and ask them why they didn't hire you. Tell them you are just trying to improve for future interviews and you would like to know what you should work on. Most people will give you a critique. Good luck in future interviews. And by the way be thankful they didn't hire you, I wasted 18 months there.
