I am not seriously considering working at enterprise (thanks to this site) but I would like to secure an interview with them just for practice. i need to get over the nervousness i experience while talking about myself in an professional setting. I figure that this should be easier to accomplish while interviewing with the company that I don't respect. Since some of you seem to have worked at enterprise at some point in time, i would appreciate it if you could give me some pointers. Was a cover letter necessary? What were some of the questions asked during the interviews (besides the obvious ones)? How many interviews were there? How was the offer presented? thanks in advance.

Seeing as how my first interview 2.5 weeks ago, you would think I'd remember it clear as day. It is not 930 and I'm posting a reply...no my branch does not have internet access of sorts....I sent in my resignation a couple hours ago. The past two weeks of my life have been a complete blur, kind of like when you go on vacation for a week in Mexico and drink away. Anyways my memory is a bit hazy today because I feel like I just awoke from a horrible, horrible night mare, but to answer your questions here goes...A cover letter was not necessary, at least in my region. They'll ask you if you've had past sales experience, 3 experiences in your prior work environment were you assumed a leadership role, solved a problem, and or completed a task with your co-workers...sorry I think Enterprise is sending me a return fax regarding my resignation as we speak! I had two interviews, first with the HR rep, second with a branch manager. If you want to get real interview experience hang on until the second interview to get the feel of a true interview, HR will mainly toss you soft ball questions. Surprisingly they do mention that the hours "could" be long, is that a problem for you? They will mention the pay and how it is competitive with the local market, which may or may not be true pending the region you are in. Finally the offer was presented to me by phone by the HR rep. To sum up you've made the right choice by not considering employment with Enterprise, but good call snagging the interview experience always helpful. If you wanna have fun ask with a smirk " I get pretty pissed off and crazy when I dont get to have a lunch, will this be an issue?" All I can say is good job doing you homework before considering this job, if only I found failing enterprise during the interview process and not after my 3rd day of work!!!! Fuck N the horse they rode in on, as of today im FREEEEEEEEEE!

Do it for the practice. Also, find out where you stand. If you cannot get a second interview or a job offer from Enterprise, especially during this "hire a monkey straight out of college" season...well, you are officially unemployable. Seriously...if you cannot get hired at Enterprise, you have some soul searching to do... good luck!

i'm not sure that that's true. a friend of mine interviewed with enterprise and didn't get the job. he thought that the offer wasn't given because he saw through the scam and while he didn't say that to the interviewer directly, he may have alluded to some inconsistencies. he also seems to be of a similar type of personality to adachic (if i'm understanding correctly)--very direct and inquisitive. two months later, the guy landed a good job--35 grand base salary plus commissions, standard benefits, car payments, cell phone bills. he ended up making something like 70 grand in his first year. maybe they're actually trying to improve their turnover. but anyway, i'll try to get an interview with a better company first, and if i'll screw that up i'll start practicing on enterprise, hertz, and a myriad of other "marketing" companies in the area. i'll post about my experience if i go through with it.
