| So I just got a call (voicemail) from Enterprise after I had completed an email 'survey/follow-up' of my online interview. Are the things on this website true? Is it really that bad working for ERAC? I mean long hours...ok. But you're paid per hour, right? Do they have sales quotas? Wouldn't the management training be beneficial? Seriously I need some help here because I do need a full-time job. Thanks. |

Is it really that bad working for ERAC? I enjoyed it much more when I had a good manager and cool co workers. The work sucks though. Hope and pray you get a branch with some cool co workers and you'll be okay. You're paid per hour, right? Yes, you'll earn an hourly wage but you'll have to work overtime to make any money. Don't let them screw you out of hours worked. Do they have sales quotas? No, but it is a sales job and you'll be expected to hit monthly numbers. They'll try to convince you that selling damage waiver is the great barometer of life - If you can't sell it, you'll never be successful with anything. Wouldn't the management training be beneficial? Yes, I think its good experience and it will teach you a lot. If you need a full time job then Enterprise will give you that. Most employees I worked with were miserable though. I thought the job sucked overall. |

Thanks for the reply. So it's a give and take, huh? Well I don't mind working hard for money (I do mind working 60 hours a week). I was once a financial advisor with Ameriprise and Bankers Life. Lots of quotas...lots of sales...no fun. So I'm just concerned if they offer me a job that I will resign in amonth and walk away with nothing. Can you get fired for anything stupid (not including general unprofessional conduct). |

My advice: If you are going to work for Enterprise, make sure you cover your ass. If management ask you to do anything you find questionable, make sure you have them sign showing their approval. If you don't, it will be on your head if something goes wrong and they will let you take the fall. This may not make any sense to you now, but if you start working there, it will. Just remember to cover your ass. |

NOOOOOOO....don't do it, run like hell. Trust me, you can probably find a much better paying job working less hours. You DO NOT get paid hourly unless you work overtime, which is pretty much guaranteed. Your base salary sucks bigtime. I would say overall when you actually do the math with your overtime you probably end up making around $10/hr after taxes, and that is working 50+ hours a week. There are sales quotas and in this economy, lets face it, how the hell Enterprise expects someone to pay $17.99 for DW a day + an additional $5 a day on a larger vehicle when they just got laid off is beyond me. Overall I would say that it is not worth it. You will have no life, you'll be tired and pissed off all the time, and you have to put up with so much bullshit from upper management that your head will spin. |

Be careful if you take the job, hate it, and plan on resigning after a short period of time. Do NOT tell them who you will work for if you have another job lined up just in case you have a member of upper management cause you trouble at your new employer, it has happened before. And getting fired if they don't like you they'll make up anything to get you fired, even claim they wrote you up for shit when you never signed any writeups in the first place. |

| Wow...does not sound that promising. I liked the first reply. Um...I don't know what to do. I mean I need a job but I don't want to quit it 3 months. I refuse to take crap from anybody but I want my experience for a better position somewhere. (sigh) |
| |||
| Oh also, does everybody really drink there all the time or is that just a joke? Further, do people from the office really hang out all the time? (Man...why is the image always so messed up...I've tried to post this 3 times already...make that 5 times) |

| Is the image thing too difficult? I think I've got it turned up all the way. I'll turn it down a notch... __________________ "Don't worry about what anybody else is going to do. The best way to predict the future is to invent it." -- Alan Kay |
