Default Hours

There are alot of people on here crying about the hours at ERAC. Are you expected to work every hour the branch is open? The 10-15 in my area are only open from 8-6, M-F and 9-12 on Saturday. Is that the schedule...every single hour the branch you work at is open?

Monday's are the worst, at my branch we had to be there at 6:30 AM so we could get ready to open at 7:30. Also, don't be fooled, many of the branches have satellite offices that are open until 7 PM and as an MT you'll get stuck there a lot since no one else wants to be. No matter how you try to slice it up you're going to be there a solid 11-12 hours everyday, not to mention 8:30 to 12:30 on Saturday. We all "cry" about it because how would you like to work 12 hour days for about $8 an hour with a college education??

I dont think people are "crying" so much about working the said hours but not being paid for the said hours ie;managers adjusting timesheets

Yes they list the hours as working from 8-6 and every other Saturday from 9-12.

Normally you are expected to arrive between 7:15-7:30 to help clean cars, pick-up dropped cars, "plant" cars, etc. You can expect to be there even earlier on Monday's since Monday mornings are almost always chaotic. Friday afternoons are the same as well. I don't recall leaving too many times at 6:00. You can always expect that 5:00 reservation to walk in right at 6:00, a customer calling at quarter of who will need a ride home when the drop off, etc. I'd say the average day would end around 6:30-6:45.

If you are an MT in a short-staffed office (which chances are, you would be) you may find yourself working every Saturday if there is no one else to rotate with.

I hired in at an office twenty minutes from my home. After about six months, I was involuntarily transferred to an office about an hour away which was much busier. This new office opened at 730 which meant I would have to leave home about 615, and get up no later than 530. The office closed at six, but due to people holding tickets open until after 2 every day causing total chaos when it came time to reconciling, late arrivals, etc I would normally leave around 715 at night and get home around 815.
Leaving my house at 615am getting home at 815pm was very typical, so get that resume in there and start living the dream !!!!

The hours are draconian at best. You work 50 plus hour weeks for barely enough to make your student loan and car payments.

Prepare to be there 30-45 minutes before the scheduled open of a branch. I typically pulled 60 hour weeks.
