[quote=Jeahho]No one is actually forced to do repos one way or another. Repos are fairly common, but not so common that if you don't like it you are forced into it. QUOTE] Ok. At least that makes me feel a little better. There was this one thread called, "anyone realize how dangerous this job is?" where someone said that an AM threatened to fire him/her if he/she did not do a repo, and another instance where a manager supposedly was "beat up". Pretty scary. However, I'll ask during the interview. Thanks.

We used to teach in training that two females could not do a repo together. It was always suggested that if a female went, she took along a male, or two males went. In the case of the female manager/3rd degree black belt vs. the male 110 lb 5'6 former swimmer, this was sheer lunacy. Basically, regarding repos: be smart, don't be a hero, and never ever go alone or without backup.

It depends a lot on the branch you are in and the BM. If you are in a branch that has 2 employees only, count on you going on that repo after hours ( or early in the morning ). I have seen some BM make their employees go to repos. I was a female BM and never went on a repo since I was scared to death from the area we serviced. If you ever find yourself in a situation that you "must" or "need" to go on a repo ( they will tell you to learn from it ) you don't have to go. Area manager and Loss Control will tell you the same thing.

Trust me when I tell you....they force you to perform reposessions from deliquint customers. They are not fun and for the most part, very dangerous. I wish anyone out there luck who has to perform one. Some advice, never go alone, document your conversations with your higher up about how dangerous it is and that you don't feel comfortable doing it. Make sure your key that you got cut works (can't tell you how that almost killed me one night). Ask if you can call the police. But, I asked and they said that a man who was out of contact with us for two months and behind by 600 dollars could still be in control of the rental and sue us if we called the police....bunch of crap. Call a tow truck if necessary, pay for it and get a reciept and get your money back. Repo's are not fun...they are dangerous and performed whenever your dickhead ARM barks.

Everyone who works in the company for longer than a couple of weeks either has had themselves, or knows someone who had a close call on a repo. It isn't fun, it is dangerous and the odds are that sooner or later you will have to do one yourself. Unfortunately this is just the nature of the business. Am I alone in thinking ERAC should tighten up its cash qual policy?

Hi there... this website really scares the shit out of me. I am planning to work for this company in Germany, I had the first contacts today...the interview will not be that far away. IS THIS REALLY HOW THIS COMPANY WORKS? Is there not one satisfied ex-worker, are they really that bad...You see, before I even commit myself to them I would really like to have a clear point of view. They offered me a position as management trainee with a very good basic salary (Euro 2560 a month) and great carreer possibilities. Is it all a scam? Tell me before I loose my life : ) Jack_Dunno
