I get off work at 6 every night and often go see a movie or do somthing else fun. Successful people live to work look at the statistics the average business owner works 16 hour days 5 days a week. Look it up in the july 16th issue of the wall street journal. people in this day and age make me sick. Look back at when people were happy like the 50's for example they did more phyiscal labor and longer hours and still had good happy lives. now days people look at work as if it is a burden. I on the other hand think of work as a way to prove your worth. And to the bugerking mcdonalds guy you may be right but if i worked there i would still strive to be the best at what i do. and just for the record a shirt and tie gets more ladies then a burgerking uniform. People in this generation have no work ethic. My point is that no matter what you do or how many hours you work you should always stive for greatness weather it be flipping burgers or writting contracts. i have never seen another company that can go from a 30thousand starting wage to a 66thousand dollar salary in only 4 years. Show me another company that can make that claim and maybe i will leave this company and go there until then i will continue to put my nose to the grindstone. remember college when we all had to study for hours sometimes days just to succeed and we paid them. no put that same effort in to enterprise and you can go far fast.
You show me someone that lives to work and I will show you a person that has a void in their life that needs filling.

Ya’ll are really pathetic! It is no wonder the generation of young adults have a bad rap. Ya’ll think that you deserve a whole lot more then you are truly entitled for. What happened to honest good old fashion hard work? Or is that not something you were taught as part of your hoity-toity education. Get over yourselves….I hope that karma comes back and bites all of ya’ll in the a**.

And your older generation is lost in your ignorance. People aren't afraid of hard work, they'd rather just not do it if they can make a living without busting their ass every minute and dedicating their life to a job. Much of the older generation had to do that and feel that everyone should have to. That is the exact kind of ignorance that exists at Erac. Quality of life may not be on the top of your priority list, but it's on the list of many of these 'hoity toity' youngsters that you seem to wave your elderly cane at. Do you also sit by your window looking for those 'evil rabblerousers' to do something naughty so you can call your home owners association to complain? As for education, you seem to need a refresher course in today's world. Life is about more than working. If you feel it's not, then I guess karma already took a bite out of you.

I have always been good in sales and i love cars. I don't mind washing cars or picking up customers and REPO's are fun to me. I guess i like a little danger. It took me about a week to get the hang of things at enterprise and soon i was the best performer there. My 4th week on the job i was by myself at the airport for 10 hours. AHHHH wow is me hahahah. just kidding only pussies wine about long hours. Its called motivation. I'm not to good to write contracts or wash cars or go on repos i will do what ever it takes to succeed at any job i have. I came from a poor family and know the rewards of working hard. If you let these people on this site scare you then you shouldn't work in the real world. Work is Work. I put 5 years of my life in to the job i had before and 60 hrs a week. and made less then i did the 2nd year at ERAC. there is not another company on the planet that will take you out and get you wasted if you want after work. If you don't drink they will take you to dinner or golfing or what ever you want. They treat people well. they realize the long hours we put in and they do there best to recognize that. oh and the guy who says they have to re up there work force every year because people quit is full of shit they have a 82% retention factor and thats a fact look it up stupid. i will not lie to the people out there its long hours hard work sometimes but there is a great social atmospher and good people. take it from a guy who has been with the company, .....lets just say a while.
Well, where's your souce for a 82% retention factor? I have been with the company 'a while' and 82% of the employees that I started with are gone. P.S. Take some of your hard earned money and learn how to spell and write!

Just because you work hard is no guarantee your going to be a sucess. There are no guarantees in life. The mexican I pay to mow my lawn works hard too. I think this site is very much needed and I applaud admin for his efforts. Is it wrong to voice displeasure in your job? I don't think so. Is every job ideal? no, but when you see that very few stay at ERAC it does make one question their business practices, and employee relations. With ERAC being as financially sucessful as it is, im sorry to say that nothing is about to change or going to change. Do you really think that corp mgmt cares about retention? hell no! as long as there is no real competition (the nieghborhood market) what are they losing when people quit? there is always another graduating college class ready to be employed. The only thing I could suggest is that the word needs to be spread throughout the colleges and universities how unpleasant it is to be employed by ERAC, and that this site could aid in that process. It comes down to supply and demand, overproduction of a product (college grad) reduces the value of the product (compensation/wages)

I guess the "hoity toity" fooled me. Your post sounded very reminiscent of someone from an older generation that doesn't know as much as she thinks that feels everyone needs to work as hard as you did because you had to.

Can I just say to the old fart who keeps going on about the generation of hard workers and where have they all gone ???

All I simply have to say is "f*ckoff" you complete disck head....

Lets go back to working every hour god sends and burying our head in the sand just like you old timers did pre 1980's.... Having no life, poor wages and a wife/husband/girlfreind/botfriend who never gets to see you. Getting married early as you hardly travelled and experinced life. Get married early and pop out a few kids as you had nothing better to do with your life than work all day and f*ck once a week.

I bet you an old timer who works all day, gets in and demands that your partner has dinner on the table at 7pm so you can watch your favourite TV programmes in you comfortable trousers... I bet you bath a lot and hardly shower, I bet you drive a sh*t old car and moan all day at young people who have a life because you quite blatantly dont.

Your a sad pathetic loser who would suit working at enterprise rent-a-life so you can work all your life and have nothing to show for it.... no real experiences, no real pleasures apart from work and simply no soul.

You keep working hard whilst I go around the world travelling on a regular basis, smoking whatever I can get in my mouth and drinking myself into a complete mess...... sleeping with beautiful women, swimming naked in the ocean at 4am in the morning and enjoying life to the full as you only live once.

I too worked for Enterprise and realised what a sack of sh*t it was.... Good luck to you Granddad, and I am sure you will have a lot of interesting tales to tell your Grand children about working hard when you are a bit older.

Take Care
