The problem with ERAC is that from the very beginning of the training they are teaching the MT's to be unethical. We are taught to lie to customers, backdate tickets, change phone numbers, force DW on customers. Then the company expects the MT's, Assistant Managers, and Managers to not do anything unethical. From the very onset of employment they are corrupting these young graduates who have dreams to move up the corporate ladder by working hard, only to find that they are basically car wash monkeys. I know I will get replies that I only have sour apples and I was probably fired. I left on my own, because the guilt of how we were lying to our own employees and stabbing them in the back was getting to me. Since leaving ERAC I have been an executive recruiter and a junior partner with the same firm. I have a hard time referring anyone to a company such as ERAC. There are so many outstanding companies out there that do a better job of teaching and training their employees. Avoid ERAC at all costs.
Well said!:)

As a current Enterprise employee (resigning in two weeks), I must say that the company promises a lot but delivers very little. Like everyone else I started as an MT and working long hours making barely enough to survive. I sacrificed time with friends, family, and sometimes sleep, hoping that my hardwork and dedication would pay off in the future. Well, my hardwork did pay off. I was granted more responsibilities as an MT than I could handle. I was put in a position were I was ignored and thrown to understaffed branches because I was so efficient. I went through 3 branches managers, 4 assitant managers, and 2 Mt's. And no. they were not to promotions. They actually quit for some of the same reasons as the individuals on this website.
Honeslty, I worked 60 hours a week, and when I asked for time off, I was treated as if I was asking for a kidney. I received very little training, and the only reason that I grilled when I did, was because I threatned to write a letter to both Jack and Andy Taylor. And even after grilling, I was moved to another branch where I was the "acting" assistant manager for one month. After that branch threw up a 51 ESQI, I was coached into staying there to create an execution plan to increase the ESQI. And I was promised a promotion the following month regardless of the numbers as long as they increased, well this didn't happen. The next month I was told that Enterprise didn't make exceptions, and I was stuck at the same understaffed branch for two addition months because no one else wanted to work the deal. And finally after those two months, were threw up an 80, and I was promoted. but was stuck at the same branch for 3 months due to ESQI.
After three months as an Assistant Manager, I can't take the job anymore. And its not because i'm not selling or performing top notch, but because I was to be compensated for hardwork. Also, I want to go home at night and look forward to the next day of work. And my number one reason for leaving is, from day one you are fed the BS that its your personal Enterprise and that your career path and success depends on you and soley you. This is a lie. Its about who you know and how you can sleep or brown-noise your way to the top.

Well said, the other way to get promoted is to stick around and put up with all the BS and jerking around. I have always said he who can put up with all the s--t and stick around eventually will get promoted. Here we grow again.....

Anybody ever try Fleet Services? All this stuff is going way over my head. I've been with Enterprise for years, but only Fleet Services, and frankly, I love it. The money's great, the people are even better. And we don't have to lie to anyone or work overtime or weekends. Seems like rental's a totally different world...

But doesn't it stink to think you went to college for four years, now your washing cars. Opps I forgot, you started as an MT (car prep) and they never wash cars (ha,ha). Three years with slave shoes on to make 56,000 is terrible. To answer your question if everyone on this site has been fired....No. You see we move on, well the better ones that is. You know better than that anyhow. Save your "Just Curious" act for renting cars because you aren't fooling anyone on this site.Enterprise can't afford to fire anyone, even you. Anyhew...more power to you if you like it. Best Wishes, IngaTara

I work for the company, don't bleed green by any means but I started out as an mt and have worked 3 years for the co. made 30 my first year 40 my second and will finish with fifty my third year and I'm only an assistant manager. Is this just people who were fired for shady shit, or people who couldn't sell damage waiver well enough and are pissed? just curious.

I left erac to gain my MBA. I am currently in my second year and I work at the university where I am studying. Last year I made less the 20k (I am a full time student). However, knowing what I know now, having applied my education to my experience, I wouldn't go back to erac for 100,000 a year. That company f***ing stinks.

Amen to this...well put.

For me, I left E as a BM and am now working as a sales director making $125K + a car (new, assigned to me and only me each year, not smelling of shit or drugs). To all at E: go out there and look! You can find a rewarding career, make better money, work a 40 hour week and not sell your soul! I even like Mondays now.

Actually, We are not all former employees of ERAC. I happen to be a current employee who has worked there for three and a half of the longest months of my life. Enterprise sucks, "an MBA without the IOU" give me a break!! I am already looking to leave, I can't stand it. And as far as the damage waiver sales goes. I am right around 90-95 package points for hawking this worthless protection crap for the unlikely chance that I don't find a job right away and I might need to hang around for a short time. And by the way I know people who didn't go to college and are making more than your pidley 50k. Go have some more green Kool-aid!!!
