| My forst day on the job!!! It was great. I went to the head office and had lessons on how to sell customers stuff. It was very funny. We are supposed to sell them insurance stuff that they don't need - and they pay £10 a day for it!!! How briliant a concept is that? The training was good - we had a couple of area managers come and talk to us. They were talking about customer service and how we would get pomoted if we treated the customers right. Seems logical. Then we had pizza - cool!!! I really liked the fact taht everyone is a graduate and has worked their way up through this group of ERAC. Apart from the General Manager. And the accountants. And Admin people. Oh and the fleet woman used to be a secretary and has never seen a branch. And the remarketing manager came from a different group. As did the city managers. And some of the area managers. WHo came over from a different country because they weren't getting promoted over there. The women on my course are biffa's. Talk about ugly. I thought one was a man. Still, he/she seems quite nice and is bigger than me and wears combat boots. Then we had a video after pizza. It was funny but terrible all at the same time. Then we talked about how to drink beer. Then we drank beer. Then I went home buzzing - possibly because have the greatest job in the world, or possibly because I was hal-drunk. It's my first day at the office tomorrow - can't wait!!! |
