Nevermind. I got the job. Lets just all pray that I can survive the process. I know that I have been warned, but I'm one of those people that needs to try it out. If it won't kill me then it may just make me stronger. I appreciate all of the input from this site and I think that I will try to keep in touch, wheter it is to brag or bitch.

I wouldnt worry about credit. The recruiters look for young people who are stuck in hard financial situations. That way when they get you hired you are forced to work the job because you have to pay your bills and debts and cant afford to be job hunting. Then every month the recruiter checks on you and reminds you that if you keep working hard you'll get promoted and some day you can actually make 40k a year!! Its all part of the scam. It happened to me.

What I found was that the "recruiters" were familiar with ERAC, but the Hiring Managers or supervisors that make the final decision were not. I had many recruiter tell me how they are familiar with the ERAC training and great company and other nonsense. However, once you make it past the initial recruiter screening...the rest of the interviewers had no clue about ERAC, and to be honest I had to sell myself pretty hard with sales and management abilities. I think more and more people just visualize it as a retail position. It is not like it was 5-10 years ago, when ERAC had a good reputation in the business world. Now people say 'oh, you rent cars..how does that make you qualified to do XYZ industry." Just my recent experience folks. I found a good gig making the same as I did, but a salary, not commission and 8:30-5pm work schedule, with no weekends. I didn't leave to necessarily make a ton more money, I left to get my life back. I know i am rambling, but..do not overestimate ERAC on your resume...some were familiar, some were not, the further you get in the interview process..2nd, 3rd,etc., people really question what valuable experience you bring. |

The job will definetely make you stronger but do you want to go through it for atleast a year? If you decide to quit earlier than a year it doesnt look good on your resume for any type of job. During my time at ERAC I lost touch with my friends and family, was completely miserable, became very un-healthy(settled for lots of free ERAC pizza and beer since I couldnt afford real food)and had NO LIFE. Plus the job is very humiliating. The grass is much greener outside of ERAC. You have been warned.

Can't say that I wasn't warned. Three months in and I'm ready to bail. The job isn't so bad but the fucking hours suck. I'm NOT geting paid enough to work 50 hours a week. MAybe I'm being a lazy genY but this is bullshit.
