As far as diversity in the Washington D.C area, there was only one (1) african-american in the Area Manager spot. All other minorities were managers or below. Before I left ERAC, I did a short stint at their Regional/Group Corporate office, and not one of the Senior Corporate positions were held by minorities. All the lower rungs of the corporate positions, such as admin, was the place where a greater percentage of minorities were employed.

As for Andy, there is absolutely know way that man earned his keep in the company, or started at the MT level. The way the story sounded to me was he went to some other outfit on his own, either wasn't doing well or didn't like being somebody's bitch, so he went to work for daddy (probably started no lower than an Area Manager) and then quickly moved through the ranks because he was "the boss's boy". And everyone one knows that you don't mess with boss's boy unless you want to be out of a job. So nearly everyone at the executive level willingly rolled over and played dead for Andy to quickly ascend the corporate later, eventually becoming the CEO (those that didn't were probably fired). The same is and will be for Andy's daughter - she has and will always have a nice, cushy job because of her name and not her work performance. No one in that company will ever be honest with her for fear of losing their position. In other words, she will be living a wonderful lie that everyone around her has created because of their own fear.

I'd heard his daughter krissy or christy (whatever it is) started as an MT, was a branch manager at one year, and is now some corporate officer making coin in the Lou.

I've said it before: I'll be she's got a shitty life, because no one will trust her or believe she's earned anything. She needs to leave, change her name, and become her own person.

That's not the Taylor way.

I definitely do not pity the billionaire princess.

I wouldn't work. Just shop. And try to get photographed by as many paparazzi as possible, and act like it was a terrible invasion of my privacy while adoring the attention.

You're thinking Paris Hilton.

By the way, as a guy, it confirms all my worst suspicions when a chick says that if he had billions, she'd quit work and just shop. Usually, there's that one other additional requirement that I provide the billions.

Paris has got it right- heiress style (minus the sex video)

Chrissy doesn't even have to marry rich! Daddy and Papa already have the $$$$ rolling in!!! Why does she have to go to the trouble of working? It can't be that fun for her. I've never seen her.... Is she pretty? If so, then GREAT- the midwest is begging for an heiress to dress sexy, shop, and carry around small animals.

No one cares if she rents cars.

I remember ebing at a city meeting in U1 years ago when it was announced that one of the area managers Raj, (an Indian) was leaving to relocate to California.

The City Manager (who I think works in Washington now) said, in front of a full room of ERAC staff "At least you won't worry about the tan".

Fucking idiot.

Please anyone who knows an mt that made GM after three years respond and tell me I am wrong!
Actually, He was a J-1, one of the first that came to Seattle as an MT back in the late 90's and did make GM after three years. His name escapes me, but I worked side by side with him, he started at 4505.
