Was she hot with or without the beer goggles?

It makes a huge difference...

(oh please God I hope this thread doesn't go in a direction that generates requests to the Failing Enterprise in-house nanny from certain parties)

LOL. It's an unmoderated discussion board. :)

Maybe Chrissy will log on and realize her true calling as a billionaire heiress. Just trying to be of service...

Yes, it's unmoderated, but still, I have to put up with whiners occasionally. And apparently Chrissy Taylor is a sensitive subject in St. Louis. (Don't, I repeat don't, try to look her up on Google). Some people there feel a certain fatherly protectiveness of her and I've received some mild pressure that perhaps she should be spared the rigors of open discussion here <bangs head on table>.

Why is she even working? She could be having all the Jimmy Choo's and bikini waxes and Prada handbags and attention from hunky latin men named "Ramon" that she could handle.

It's probably because Andy Taylor knows how to raise his kids right and she grew up expecting to carry her own weight in the world. It sounds like good parenting.

(Hey Enterprise paralegal whose job it is to read all my postings and pass along some for possible further action: how are you going to parse this message?)

Hello Batman,

Haven't seen you posting here for a while. How are things in the Bat Cave?

Oh, and now that Brokeback Mountain is meeting with such widespread acclaim and acceptance, do you have anything you'd like to share with us about your relationship with Robin? I've watched reruns and frankly had some questions.

I meant the parenting line as a genuine compliment. It's got to be tough being Chrissy Taylor. Everybody knows who she is and assumes she's getting a free ride, so no matter how hard she works nobody's going to believe she's actually earned anything. I'm sure she gets people telling every day that she's stupid for working (especially being worked to death at Enterprise) given that she could easily be one of the ladies-who-lunch. She could have a life of shopping and complaining and yacking with her friends and dating a hunky European sculptor and yet she works anyway.

Maybe she's really driven and wants to be CEO someday and have real power.

Anyway, until then she's in a real Catch-22. Even if she works 60-70 hours per week and ruins her life and her health, everyone will assume she's getting a free ride.

Another option I'm sure that's been considered: Bailing out of Enterprise and running the family philanthropic foundation.

It's hard to keep a successful family company in the family and successful over more than a generation or two. There are few that can do this successfully. It takes a really strong family culture. Maybe the Taylors have got it. They seem to be doing well so far.

Too bad the company has abandoned their Founding Principles and is hollowing out from the inside.
