Did anyone see that Michael Crook buy on Fox News talking about his website something like foresakeourtroops.com??? The news guys (one lib, one conserv) ripped this gut to shreds. His sight apparently cheers when soldiers are killed over there or wounded because he thinks they are paid too high! This guy was a supreme douche bag (a failingenterprise fav).

Whats your problem....there are not just two ends of a spectrum...you look at life like this....

Actually, there are two independent scales, not one. The first is how big and intrusive you want goverment to be, and the other is how socially conservative you are. Conservatives are low on the first, high on the second, liberals are the opposite. Libertarians are low on both. An example of being high on both might be a repressive dictatorship.

There are other ways to model the spectrums of political beliefs, of course, but I think the single Liberal <==> Conservative scale is particularly lacking.

On a side not, I always thought it was ironic that so many conseratives pushed for the Patriot Act (and its renewal) considering how intrusive it allowed the gov't to be without any real provocation.
