Hey that's a good point I hadn't considered! There are laws against discriminating against older employees (over 40 I think may be the cut-off). Enterprise is probably fairly vulnerable on this issue so you'd definitely have a sort of protected-minority status because of your age.

Only problem with this is that I'm sure Andy's HR gang has already thought about that and would just not hire the guy to avoid an age discrimination suit...

Actually, they will hire almost anyone that applies in this age group so they DON'T get sued for age discrimination in hiring practices.

So few older people apply (because the job sucks and pays like shit) that ERAC is desperate for more oldies.

My point is that it is easier for them not to hire and come up with a million excuses why than to fire after the've started working for them.

In other words, it's harder for someone to prove discrimination if they weren't hired than if they were hired and then fired later on. Regardless of age, sex, race, sexual orientation etc...
