Default Recently offered Job

Hi,

I was recently offered a job by Enterprise. I had been to the second interview and during my observation I began to notivce that the company was very ackward. Driving around donuts to potential clients, everyone was under 25, and just the way the employees and mgr spoke everything seemed to be really shady. By the end of the third interview I had to see what other people thought so I got on the internet, and found this site.

I would like to thank everyone here for helping me make the easy decision not to work at Enterprise. Enterprise sounds a pyramid scheme applied to car rental.

Until I find a decent job, I am currently working in a Steel Foundry, pouring Steel. It's definately a crappy job, but I get paid twice what I suppose you would get paid at Enterprise (who actually knows how much they pay!) I think Enterprise as a company should definately reconsider their business motives and strategy when a recent college grad would rather work in a dirty, hot factory then at Enterprise.

You made the right decision and saved yourself from jumping into the hell hole of ERAC. If you worked for ERAC you would get paid about 11.00/hr including overtime and you would work about 55-60 hours a week. Pretty much slave wages for a college grad and forget about having a life.

What did the recruiter say after you told him no to ERAC?

When the recruiter called back I simply told him that it wasn't going to work out. I wanted to say something about this site but I am sure that his life is miserable enough as it is.

Anyone wanting to work at Enterprise in the MT program should really think about it. If every single person beside the auto techs are hired as Manager Trainees, what is the chance of actually becoming a manager. Every single MT that is working there is merely a monkey for Enterprise. And if they really are planning to have every MT person advance into the Management positions, why dont they have regular employees working the counter?? Hhhhhmmmmm.

Im glad you were deterred from accepting the MT position. I too did not take the job due to the opinions that were expressed in this forum. I was a bit skeptical at first when I came across this site, but you have to think to yourself - how can thousands upon thousands of people sharing virtually the same opinion be wrong? Also...you can check out jobvent.com and see how ERAC is the 2nd complaint receiver.

MAybe you should have come to Ireland where you no longer need a degree to get onto the managment training program and where you can become a manager in 6 months without a place in the performance rankings or any sort of experience!!! So many people have left over here that they have started giving Assistant Manager positions to MTs who haven't even done thier skills!!! "If you have the right attitude" then you can apply for these jobs!!! Now THATS a staffing crisis. I hope they close.

In Ireland are you required to have a DUI in order to work at Enterprise?

But of course! It's a lot safer though because the horses can only run so fast on the rutted dirt roads we us as motorways.......

Maybe you should think about the question. If you are inferring that Ireland is such a nation of drinkers that working in a job that requires driving would also require an endorsement for drink driving then it must be asked why such an offence would exist in the first place?

In short it does and you don't but some sort of chemical dependency is definitely recommended.

Hello Admin

The Republic has about 22 branches in it but I may be incorrect as I don't work there any more. Northern Ireland which is part of the U.K. has about 6 branches (I think) however the operation is run from I1, the Admin department in Dublin.

Confusing?

Good job Dude. Dont buy the lie. ERAC is a poetic example of what the worst in American companies offering jobs to recent business grads has to offer.
