Hahaha, this site is fucking hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!

When you go to get a car, does everyone pay the same rate?

When you make a reservation online, do you think the ERAC employees build the car in the back? If the car's not there, it's not there.

Admin, you're a bitter manbitch.

The guy bitching about your job, you obviously can't hack it. You knew what the job entailed, and you won't work and you're probably at selling like shit.

Price disrimination? Take a fucking econ class. Supply and demand.

Pathetic. Really. This is one of the funniest websites I've ever seen.

It happened quite frequently. The VP who came out to visit confirmed this, explaining "Sometimes you win, sometimes we win". This was less than fully confidence-inspiring.

I can understand the rates are tiered and that I wasn't a very big customer. However, if a first-time anonymous customer can get a lower rate on the Internet, something's wrong with the tiers.

I'm not sure I agree or disagree, I guess I'm indifferent to this practice.
I agree that their strategy appears to be one of competing on the Internet when they have to, but hoping people won't figure that out. The problem is that when your customers find out you've been banking on them being ignorant, they get really resentful.

I have no problem with Enterprise making an offer to a customer at whatever rate they want. The customer can decide whether to accept it. My only objection is when they're deceptive (my corporate "discount" rate actually increased my costs) or when they lie to customers ("the standard rate for this is $52.99...").

Given all that, I would caution Enterprise to stay out of the rug merchant style of negotiating, because customers will suspect they're being taken advantage of and will stay away.

Fair enough... maybe someone will read this and make changes. I don't think it's as terrible a practice as you paint it, but that's just my opinion.

I suspect this is the number one reason people hate used car salesmen so much; you never know if you're getting a "fair" price because it seems the prices are awfully fluid and you're pretty sure you're being told whatever story they think will persuade you you're getting a good deal.

This may explain the rise of "no haggle pricing" at some dealerships. Didn't Saturn make this their policy?

Just remember that really creepy feeling you get when you ask how much something costs and the salesman replies "How much were you looking to spend?"

I was considering applying as a management trainee but after reading all this, I'm not sure. I saw a job posting on careerbuilder where the employer preferred previous erac amployees. Does a year or 2 with erac an asset for a resume or is it no better than any other management training.
