| I applied and interviewed three (yes, three ) times before being hired. First time rejected because I wanted to go to grad school... second time rejected because I didn't have goals... third time enthusiastically hired to drive 120 miles a day to work 11 hours in the middle of the desert in summertime. wow. |

Most recruiters for any industry know within 25-30 minutes whether you are right for a position with their company. If the initial interview goes longer than that they are trying to convince themselves that you might work. It sounds like this might have been your situation. The best thing to do is to not to take it too personally - easier said than done when you've just gotten that letter. However, you have to remember that you would have turned them down, so you actually agreed that it wasn't the job for you too. Both you and the HR rep came to the same conclusion. Good luck finding a position. |

| F--- that job, you're better off anyway. But I learned this from a former co worker who interviewed many people. Say this at the end of your interview after asking a few questions about the job. Sounds like you may not have been aggressive enough, remember it is a sales job. "Ok, before I came in here you didn't know me at all, now that we've spent this time together, do you have any reservations about my ability to do this job? (Look them right in the eye, and don't flinch). No I don't "Great I want you to hire me, what's the next step?" (Done deal at this point, if you want the job it's yours) If they say Yes, I wish you had more experience in this or that, it gives you the chance to go back and resell yourself. Be ready for any potential weaknesses you may have and have answers ready for them. Also feel free to lie through your teeth about things they can't verify. They don't know if you smoked pot all through college or headed up the local fund raising drive for Jerry's kids, get creative! |

| The funny thing is most employee's that I know that hate ERAC are lazy as shit. So of course they don't like it. The even more funny thing is these people always talk about going into pharm-sales. If you cannot hack it at ERAC you will never survive as a rep. If you can't laugh @ people when they act a little crazy then this job is not for you. If you take every situation/phone call to heart then you will think this job is hard. |
