I just had my third interview at a branch yesterday and left feeling that this was a great opportunity. I am fairly certain I will receive the job, so I decided to see what more I could find out about the company and then this this website popped up. What started off seeming like an amazing job...get promoted fast, make lots and lots of money blah blah.. like everyone else has heard in the interview process now seems like a terrible terrible idea to work here. If someone could please just tell me honestly if I should accept the position or not. As of now I don't want to step foot in an ERAC branch and have to wash cars and sell insruance all day just seems awful. So, any advice for a soon to be college graduate.

We were there at one point also. Learn from this website (I mean that seriously!) and do not make the mistakes that we did. There are much better companies out there who are currently hiring. Enterprise should NOT be a choice! They prey on students such as yourself and your time is best served somewhere else. Heed our warnings!!!!!!!!

Before making your discussion, remember that this website is biased. I have had enough experience with many companies, and these grievances are the same complaints you would hear at any other place. However, I would never take a job for “possible” promotional opportunities. Because promotions are never guaranteed, I would take a job for the experience the position would currently provide me. If you feel this position would provide you great experience, you should take it. As far as promotional opportunities at enterprise, you chances of being promoted are much greater than most other places. Not many companies focus so much on hiring within.

HHHMMM... Difficult to say. I stayed with erac for about two years....and hated pretty much a year of it. The first year i was an intern so i really didn't have to do much...but than I became an MT and did the same thing as an intern...not much, with not a lot of pay and not a lot of opportunity for advancement. Everyone i worked with...MT wise pretty much hated there job. They liked the people, which are pretty fun to work with, but the customers and the accounts just plain suck...they really do. I'm from the MN group which sucks as even more. I'd get to my branch at 7:15 in the morning in the freezing cold weather, I'd be running in and outside all day driving to Abra, and other shops where the desk jockeys there hate that you might be two minutes late because of the snow- even when the customers not there yet. You get yelled at by the customer, the body shop managers and than your boss for not speeding to much....pretty stupid. Also, do you like washing cars??? becuase believe it or not, the porters (car washers) are making one dollar and hour less than you - and they didn't even go to college. If you don't sell CDW and don't get millions of sell ups and make it to very elite dinner count yourself pretty much screwed. My VP told me about ten times hey your going to get promoted any second now....that second lasted for a year. My VP Kevin the C man told me that I would be honored a Branch Manager spot after i compleated my internship...i waited...and waited...and waited and all I got were three transfers and a 24 cent pay raise...Yeah.. one good thing you can do...steal a gas card and throw it in your wallet. Also LIE on your timecards overtime is the only way to make money. One last thing... Your making ten dollars and hour maybe a little more depending on what group... Your VP and Group Controlles and those guys make about $600,000 a year PLUS!!! Did i mention there are only about 80 spots for that....in the ENTIRE US!!! did you also know that there average age is around 43. I don't have a feeling there going to all die in the next five years.... Good luck making a choice and if you do tuck your tie into your shirt when washing a car - that way you won't get water on it... word out Dew the Dew
