Ha Ha Ha. Come to Ireland my friend where an intern can potentiall become a Branch Manager! That's exactly what they did for an "international MT" (same thing as an intern really) last year. Manager for about 3 weeks as I recall.

Ireland is great. 10 years of prosperity means that now most graduates expect 50k for just showing up in the morning!! It's also definitely an employees market so the big E is rightly fucked for staff!!!!

Plus they brew Guinness. And that's a great thing for everyone!

Internship? You're a slave for 10+ hours a day. You know you are on the bottom rung of the ladder when the car prep tells you what to do. The only good thing that can come from an internship is you know to never come back full time.

With the hours and $8 pay, an internship with this company is not worth it. So glad that I did not take the position.

I have to disagree with most of you. I was an intern the summer before my senior year. I was an economics major at a prestigious Big Ten University and was not so hot on the GPA. The internship seemed to offer somewhat of an experience I could leverage when interviewing for "real" full-time jobs. If nothing else is coming your way, it is a great experience as nothing is ever your fault! They always blame any of your screw ups on your manager. And I don't know where $8/hour came from. In my Group in Ohio it was $10/hour with time and a half overtime. I was making a lot more/consistent with most of my friends' summer jobs. I was able to market my dealing with difficult customers (along with some computer knowledge) to land a job with a top 3 consulting firm and can now laugh at the salaries and benefits offered at ERAC. But like I said, if it's an opportunity for you of not so many, I'd take it. They treat the interns sooo much better than the MTs. Countless intern lunches, a boat cruise, dinners. All my coworkers were jealous of the experience. Plus, at the end of the summer I got a $400 scholarship (which is actually just a check made payable to you, I called it a bonus).

The internship at Enterprise is just a euphemism for "shitty summer job". If you want an internship to pad your resume, go work for a real company.
