Starting with Enterprise next week. Just want to know what these happy hours consist of and how frequent these are? This just an excuse to get liquored up and bitch about work?

You poor bastard, they caught you with some of their "come join our great team" lies. Do not go to work for these weasels. The happy hours are usually once every couple of weeks. Attendance is informally taken and those that show face time are more likely to be promoted. These happy hours are touted as one of your "great benefits". I saw it as only a "rented benefit"-beer in one end, piss out the other. Kinda like ERAC. Good luck and steer clear.

I used to like to go and talk about normal things like laying pipe, football, etc, but forget that. You'll get to hear people say great things like "Hey did you see branch ____ was sitting at 94% today????" "Did you see me get full boat on those tourists from Germany?????????" (High fives all around). Without question the biggest waste of my professional life, bar none.

My region had happy hours atleast once a week (mostly branch happy hours)! The only reason I lasted at ERAC so long was becuase I was too tired and boozed up to find a real job. All we talked about was renting cars! You leave work but your still at work, its fucking disgusting! I keep in touch with a few people who still work for ERAC but whenever I hang out with them its ESQI, DUB, ERAC bla bla bla! When you work for ERAC you will live and breath ERAC because there is no free time for anything else. I think you should reconsider and keep looking for another job.

This post is so true. If you ever try to talking to an erac employee about something other than their work. They get a blank stare on their face and they look at you like what you said doesn't compute. Don't drink the kool-aid and become a drone.

I found them to be at least twice a week. Gotta love working 12 hours with people, then spending another 3-4 hours in the bar with them. If you miss too many, you will be "let go."

Those that would miss because of family functions, tiredness, just wanting to go the fuck home, etc., would be relentlessly dissed and made fun of. It's like some frat thing.

ERAC is a cult.

ERAC is ghetto as shit. Do yourself the favor, RUN.
