Default Stay away from Culver Careers (S. California)

Just wanted to let people know (in Southern California) who are job hunting to not listen to the jackasses over at Culver Careers. Culver Careers is one of the biggest recruiters for ECRAP in S. California. Their famous line is "work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car for 2-3 years and we will get you a job in Medical Sales"! This is the best part: Culver has a contract with ECRAP that once someone starts working for ECRAP, Culver cannot work with that new ERAC employee until that person quits or is fired. So after those 2-3 years are up (if you lasted that long!) when you call Culver back they are not allowed to talk to you!

Culver is very similiar to ERAC, screw the customer as much as possible!

Ya it does...

When I got out of college I had my resume posted and I got a 2 calls from Culver. In need of a job I agreed to meet with a guy (which was 1.5 hrs away from me). In the meeting he gave he this bullshit speech about how I should start training for managment and over look an admin or entry level sales position.

He kept asking me questions that forced to to say yes I would like an MT position. Questions like, would you like to make a lot of money down the road or just recieve a steady mediocore paycheck (hmmm).

Well anyways, long story short, I got a call not 24 hrs later from the guy at Culver saying that he got me and interview, I was like alright cool. He said it was at ERAC. I was dissapointed but I agreed to go...just an interview. Well I told him to call me back as soon as something else comes up. I never heard from him again.

I got another interview at some other company by my own calling and research. But by the time I had my 3rd ERAC interview that other company hadnt called me back from my first. I really needed to work, and ERAC, with thier brainwashing tactics sounded good at the time. I took the job at ERAC and later that day the other company I interviewed at called me and wanted to see me again. I shouldve agreed to but I said no I got a new job. Little did I know I was going to quit that shitty job at ERAC.

Screw Culver careers.

Mention to this site, and tell the you think its a bad job. Then if they push you, to take the job then mention to them the part of the site that is about them being pushy.

Just tell Culver your not interested in working for Enterprise but beware they will try very hard to persuade you to go to the green monster. Also, the other companies they recruit for are not much better so if they find you another company be sure to research them. In my opinion, culver is a horrible company to work with so just keep looking and find other recruiters that arent shady like culver. Good Luck

Yeah grow a pair and say no. It's that easy. If you cannot say no someone to take control of your career how do you plan on managing people in the future?

Then don't..it's that simple. Remember the old addage: "If it sounds too good to be true..it probably is" Do something worthy of your degree and bail out.

I went to Culver after 5 years of ECRAP. THEY FUCKING SUCK, especially the Orange County office with Tiffany or Tracy. Cant remember the skanks name. She had the audacity (sp?) to try and get me into heavy equipment rentals. WHAT the FUCK WAS SHE THINKING?? I told her "hell no", I want out of the rental industry as a whole, want nothing to do with renting shit to fucking losers, be it cars or backhoes. She seemed offended. Told her I was looking into Pharma only. She said she has a person that she uses for Pharma positions and they would contact me. 4 months later I got a call. Obviously I already found a job with a reputable company from an excellent recruiter. If anyone is looking into Pharma sales, you need to check out either The Grapevine or Tom Ruff and associates. They are fantastic.
