Any comments here from anyone else? What is the truth about the pay?

Also I understand that erac is matching the 401K at 3%.
Your pay will be about 31K/12months=$2583 per mo. Each paycheck gross is around $1291. If you take that figure and divide it by the hours worked for that pay period $1291/115hrs =$11.22 an hour assuming a 55 hr work week. You will most likely work 60hours or a tad more and your pay goes to a more realistic $10.75 an hour. Then, don't forget the tax man.

Oh, and that 3% match comes to a whopping $66.00 a month or a crummy $720 bucks a year. You think that is generous? But wait there's more-you have to be fully vested with 5 years of employment at ERAC to get that match. 90% of the MT's don't make it past the 3 year mark. Most see the bullshit and get tired of the lies. But wait! If you stick it out and last longer than any other contemporaries, you might have the outside chance of possibly maybe getting a .0002% chance of getting that golden 6 year, six figure lie if they don't can you first!

I'm not a recruiter, just a guy who chose the company because I knew that the hard work would pay off. I recommend the company to my friends (I didn't get the referral fee) and they love it, too...because they're hard workers who appreciate the "entry level" position.

I net almost $1000/pay as an MT and when I get promoted to MA it will be like 1100/pay. What's the problem? As a young guy in my 20s, I can handle it. Yeah, it's stressful at times. Yeah, customers can be a pain...but you learn from it, you learn how to think on your feet, to balance profit and cust sat...

I could go on and on, but whatever. The problems people talk about get exaggerated a lot of the time and we tend to only focus on the negative. My coworkers are awesome, and it's fun to go to work...I really couldn't ask for any more. Yeah, I'd like to earn twice the amount of money I am now...and I know if I do well, I will.

/end rant

First off you have to think on your feet on most jobs, especially if they are out of college.

Second, you say learn from customers being a pain. I got news for you, customers are a pain in any industry, you can learn from that anywhere, not just ERAC.

I was were you were a year ago. I thought man I am going to move up, make some money. These long hours will pay off. Then I just saw all my friends getting paid more. Working normal hours.

Let me put it to you this way. You wake up, shower and get ready.

Go to work for 11-12hrs. When you get home its about 7.

If you go to sleep at 11 which is average you have 4hrs a nite.
Dont tell me its worth it if you spend 65hrs a week working. 50hrs sleeping and 53hrs to yourself. Unless you want to sleep less and fall asleep at the wheel during work to have more personal time at night.

Most most people work for 40-45hrs a week. I work 40hrs. I Sleep a little more with 57hrs a week and still have 71hrs for my own time.

Plus you get paid nothing for the hours you put in. Every company promotes thats worth your time so dont feed me the opportunity line. I heard it a hundred times working there. And you dont have the job description of renting cars.

Cant you see they are taking advantage of you by the hour. Why should my hour of work be worth $6 more than yours. Dont you work just as hard?

And I will have the chance to move up and make a lot of money without taking stupid tests or having to go out to bars after work with people I have been with all day. Thats not fair that you have to.

Let that all sink in when you wake up at 6am and get home at 7pm

Meh, say what you want. I work about 50 hours a week, have plenty of time to myself, hang with my GF who works as much as I do...there's really not much to complain about. This guy asked if ERAC was as bad as people say...I say it's not. Being an MT is not a wakewalk. It's not easy. But it beats a kick in the ass with a frozen boot. And you will make more money if you work hard and succeed.

Actually, it is a 3% match on your contribution to the 401K, not the entire income. So if you sock away $100.00 to the 401K it is an eye poppin' $3.00 yes, three dollars company match per check. Your monthly match from ERAC would be a wallet busting $72.00 a year. You are correct that you have to be employed 5 years there to get fully vested to get all ERAC's contribution.
