| I was considering working at enterprise (called in for a thrid interview). I was wondering what an MT salary is in CT. I am also wondering what you all think of this... "BEST PLACES TO LAUNCH A CAREER: No. 5 Enterprise: A Clear Road To The Top" It was in this weeks businessweek magazine.... Please be honest! I am especially looking for feedback from people who working for erac in CT. Thank you! |

| I don't work in CT, but I have a big mouth and an opinion...so..here goes. Do you like hard, sometimes labourious work? Can you cope with angry customers, think quickly on your feet, and maintain that glowing smile despite whatever is going on around you? Can you wash cars without getting dirty? Most importantly, can you sell? If you answered no to any of these questions, ERAC is not for you. I love my job, but it is not without extremely hard work, long hours, and sometimes dealing with extremely displeased customers. But, hell yeah, what a great place to learn about running your own business. You WILL learn accounting, marketing, sales, etc...your manager will make damn sure of that lol... That's what sets apart the successful from the washouts: ownership of your career...doing whatever it takes to succeed. In any company, you have to have the fire in your belly to be the best....Enterprise is no different... How badly do you want to succeed? __________________ "Book that deal!" "You said we're sold out!?!" "Don't question me kid!" |

| I agree that this is the best place to learn about business and work ethic, but I would add that a lot of the horror stories about how tough it is are simply not ture. ERAC is a caring environment, with a lot of really great perks. Good luck! |

Well I dont know about the not getting dirty part. But part of being a good manager is doing the shitty work sometimes. Any opinions from anyone regarding the pay? What do they start you out at? |

| In group 24 you start at 32k a year, which is 12 dollars an hour. It's a good foot in the door job, and it will only make you appreciate your next job even more. The thing with enterprise is that it's impossible to leave the job at work. I constantly found myself worrying about problem customers on weekends and at night. |

Changing time cards, twisting arms to contribute to United Way, 60hr plus work weeks, $10.00 an hour pay, ruining clothes, no cars for 22 reservations, lying to customers, phantom upsell, damage waiver, no lunches, after hours seminars and not compensated, sub par med insurance, clueless RMs, clueless ARMs, antiquated computer system, a joke of a 401K, very shitty retention, daily backstabbing between MTs, AMs and BMs. Then this is a great place to work! Yep, I can see why you like it, Smelly. |

| You will start at roughly $720 take home every two weeks. That comes out to a little over $10.00 an hour. I think you and your college education are worth a whole lot more. Good luck and take a pass on these guys. |

| So that seems to be 51 hours a week at 12 bucks an hour to start (straight 12 dollars or is some time an a half?). With benefits and a matched 410K thats not that bad (this is a starting point, entry level position). I think with any company you have to prove yourself before you make the really big money anyway. I dont mind working 50 hours a week its just the posts I see saying the work week is more like 60 that scare me (I dont even mind workng 60-70 on rare occasions). The recruiter said that an MT only works 48 hours with "comp time" given for weeks you happen to work more. Does it really pan out like that or is "comp time" more of a myth than fact? I dont trust recruiters anyway. After 7 years in the military I dont trust anyone that calls themself a recruiter. My recruiter said "Join the Army and see the world!" All I ever saw was a whole lot of West Texas. |

If starting pay is 12 bucks then 12 x 48 is 480 per week and $960 biweekly. Any comments here from anyone else? What is the truth about the pay? Also I understand that erac is matching the 401K at 3%. |
