In Canada the MT is guarenteed $32,500/year. At first glance, this looks like ok pay for someone starting a career after graduating from university. But if you breakdown the numbers, it becomes so depressing that employees may start to think about suicides. Lets do a conservative breakdown based on the 52-week year, and working 52 hours per week. regular pay - 40hrs X 52 wks = 2080 hrs/year X $10.50 = $21,840 overtime 1.5 - 8hrs X 52 wks = 416 hrs/year X $15.75 = $ 6,552 overtime 2.0 - 4hrs X 52 wks = 208 hrs/year X $21.00 = $ 4,368 -------------- ---------- 2704 hrs/year $ 32,760 So, looking at the above numbers, if you worked at normal 40 hr work week, you would only be making $21,840/year. Did you spend 4-5 years in university and 10's of thousands of dollars in student loans to work in a job that would pay under $22,000/year if overtime is excluded? Working 52 hours a week as a ticket money who is spit upon by upper management, shops, and customers and making less money than someone who is a high school dropout is not my idea of a dream job. Also, if you had any friends before you start work with Enterprise, be prepared to say goodbye to them, as you will not have the time to hang out with them due to long hours and exhaustation. Your new "friends" will be fellow workers who will not hesitate to stab you in the back if it will get them the next promotion. This is my observation. Do any other current or ex-employees agree?

Oh hell yes! This was really depressing back in the day. I had a 1 on 1 with my ARM just before the "raise" was implemented and he tried to tell me it was to stay competitive with other employers. I laughed and quit at the end of the week. Oh the memories.

fuck you Charlie Daniels.. you are the reason I quit cuz you couldn't even properly convince me again to come back..just to prove to you, I quit cuz you reflected your lack of real educational background in that one opportunity to get to know you on the phone for over 45 min. I was so turned off by that, dumb uneducated management is the reason why this company is so messed up. |

do not work for this company. all you get is low pay and premature grey hairs. You will age very fast if you work for this company, and not in a good way. The only experience you will gain is writing tickets, taking donuts to grease monkeys, and how to wash cars. If this is the work experience you are looking for, this is a great company to work for. If not, go somewhere else.

Do you think that this company will ever increase wages to a decent level? More pay, less hours, and greater respect from the upper management will make me happy and more willing to work hard for this company. Do you think this will become reality or is this just a dream?
