| ERAC isn't very everyone. SO MOVE ON! Stop your pity party! Here's the facts: 1. You will work hard 48-52 hrs per week 2. You will have to sell (it's a performance based company) 3. You are going to deal with up set customers "you are dealing with people who have been in car accidents and breakdowns". Who wouldn't be upset? 4. First year pay will range between $30,000-$37,000 If you want to go sit behind a desk all day and work 40hrs per week, go work for an insurance company and get your 3-5% pay raise each year, then expect to experience a lay off. I am sure most of you would like that, you get to sit home all day and collect unemployment! Oh yea, pharm companies are another great opportunity!! Pfizer announced this week they are laying off 20% of their sales force. Check it out, it was in the WAll STREET JOURNAL. Basically, you are a glorified caterer, sitting around with a bunch sick patients. THAT SOUNDS LIKE FUN. Throughout my life I have seen many people similiar to the people writing hate mail on this site! You need to look at yourself in the mirror. I have had some horrible experiences in my first career out of college, "Not ERAC", I never thought of posting complaints on a website. I moved on and that's what you EX ERAC people need to do or get some counseling!!! It's not for everyone. Lets be fair!!!!!!!!!!! But if you are successful there, boy it's a nice ride. :) |

| If you have any sales ability at all which means you are somewhat gregarious and can convince people to take action on a product then consider car sales, realty, insurance, or investment sales over ERAC. Find a company that will pay you well to start not one that makes you work on a draw. Some real estate and insurance companies will even pay you a straight salary for two years before you decide to work on straight commission. They are out there and alot of them are looking for young people who are talented and have sales ability. You might find yourself working for a salary similar to that of erac for a little while but as the sales and renewals start to roll in you suddenly find yourself with a six figure income alot quicker than you would have with erac. I became a state farm agent and within four years I was the top selling agent in my area and won numerous awards and now make about 350k. I can retire extremely young if I want but since this business is easy I will likely continue into my sixties and just work part time once I get into my fifties. As it stands right now I can roll into the office on Monday at around 10:00 am and take off Friday afternoon and usually head out golfing with some adjusters or fellow agents in town. It is a great life. |
