I have the third interview today

I have been running into ERAC since i was in college( biz marketing). I ran into them at a career fair and was interested because of the entrapunership aspect. Didn't move forward with that meeting. Then when I graduated I got another call from a headhunter about ERAC saying how great it was. I got another job. Now i moved to Cali and I'm having alot of trouble finding a job. Now I get a call from Culver Careers and ERAC is the main job she has lined up for me. I didn't want the job but i went to the interview for practice because I was gettomg ready for a lot of interviewing. I knew something didn't add up especially the long hours and the completely average yearly pay. Basically, Culver is saying this is my best shot to get ahead in the corporate world but i'm not buying it. Then the other day I found this great site and everything made sense. The problem is ERAC wants to hire me. Should i go to the interview? Should i just cancel the interview? Should I go the interview and just ask a ton of great questions.(about actual hourly pay and shit). To me i feel that the fact that they fuck over all MT's is the main reason why enterprise is a successful company. Oh yeah the weird thing is that the Culver headhunter was blowing smoke up my ass about the pharm industry which of course everyone wants to get into. She had me going for second. Then i saw the pharm shit on here too. Great site let me know what you guys think.

I wouldn't bother - not even as interview practice. The company's HR department are just as poor as the Areea/Branch managers when interviewing. I genuinely don't think you'll get anything out of it.

Ignore Tim. He's an idiot. You WILL get something out of it. Don't get me wrong, you have to work extremely hard through training, but it does eventually pay off if you can put up with the bullshit. What you don't realise is that Tim, as with may other people on this site never made it, thats why they're bitter. Try it, you'll see...

I wouldn't go that far. I made it to manager and then quit after working in two groups on two continents within 7 years and I'm not bitter. I don't know if what you'd call what happened to me "making it" or not, but I left Enterprise because I was tired of working 80+ hours a week and dealing with the numerous immature people at the company. I was a bit older than my employees and I wasn't into the "frat boy" atmosphere and the numerous "happy hours" that went on in our region and group.

On the other hand Enterprise did teach me a lot about work ethic and really helped to develop my business skills. It also increased my tolerance of dealing with the public.

I left Enterprise about 5 weeks ago and moved out west. After getting where I now am I ended up getting hired in a B2B position for a major company. My new boss told me that my experience at Enterprise was what really attracted him to my resume. I now have a lot less hours and a lot more money than at Enterprise.

I would suggest that you go to that interview and decide what you want to do then. I believe you said that you are unemployed at the moment. Perhaps you should work at Enterprise until something better comes along. A lot of people I knew from the company used Enterprise as a stepping stone. There is nothing wrong with that. Just make sure that you don't tell anyone there about it. Working at Enterprise and make some money is better than being unemployed or, even worse, destitute.

I agree with the last guy. While it is true that ERAC experience may help later on to get a better job (afterall you will be very experienced at lying to people in their face), it is also a TORTURE. Simply read this website and make your own decision. If you absolutely believe that ERAC experience is vital for your field than give it about 6 months and run away fast. Do NOT buy into their BS of becoming VP etc etc. They hire thousands of fresh grads every year. ARe they all becoming VPs???????WTF
There should be a law which prohibits ERAC from soliciting all graduates of ALL majors. I have a CS major and somehow I ended up working at ERAC for almost a year here in the SF bay area. What ERAC is doing is a big punch to the society as they LIE to our most talented people right as they come out of school. These fresh grads have talents which can be used in other more important areas instead of washing cars at ERAC. Yes you WILL wash cars.
Half way through I had realized what I had done, and it took almost another half year to get out of that mess because of the millions of hours you have to work in one week. Simply put you will have no life!!!!
Yes after you have suffered later on, that experience will help you but people learn from ANY BAD experience anyway.
If you can stand working with people who lie and are dishonest then go to the interview.
I have the outmost respect for the guy who put up this site. I hope this site really drills through the heart of ERAC.
I had stellar results my first 3 months over there until I realized that I could not lie any more. And for what ? for a miserable 10 dollar DW. They want you to try hard as if you have a million dollar deal on your hands.
After 3 months I started making educated and TRUTHFUL explanations of the DW to the customers and let them decide but guess what, my behavior was frowned upon.
As you can see from this site the stories never end so don't even bother to interview.

I basically started working at ERAC only for the stepping stone. I've read this site prior to accepting the job offer. I know that many major companies favor having experience here at ERAC. It shows you were a hard worker that endured a lot of hours (hopefully you were a hard worker). I don't plan on being a assistant manager or branch manager. If do make it, i make it. I am however definitely keeping my window of opporunity open for other careers. The experience is all I want.
