Default FOR ALL THE BULLSHIT, ALL IT IS... IS RENTING CARS.

This job made no sense. All of those higher ups constantly kissing someone elses ass, or coming down on yours. 12 hours a day of being screamed at by custs, managers, body shop or service people, etc. Phones constantly ringing. Never eating lunch in over a year. All of the grilling for MA, all of the waiver, wearing ties while scrubbing diaper crust from the back seat of Dodge Neons, getting your life threatened on repo's, having to drive horrible people to and fro their houses, etc.

And all it is, is renting fucking cars.

This job blows. They try to tell you you're a "professional," in the meantime the retard bagging groceries down the street makes more money than you do, with your fancy college degree.

ERAC is criminal bullshit, and sooner or later... WILL GO DOWN.

it's a fair point. when you rent cars on holiday, which is lets be honest the only time 99% of people rent a car, you're served and sent off by some guy who could easily work in burger king.

any 18 year old kid could absolutely breeze erac. every day, it's the same old shit. how much stuff do you actually need to use your intelligence for? washing cars? calling ar's? dropping off donuts? driving a taxi? offering damage waiver?

i'm sorry, but erac is a very high hours/very low pay/very low intelligence job.

I love reading the posts here but I hate to post. It's frustrating watching smart people who just don't see that they are absolutely being taken advantage of. I took the job for a paycheck, unemployment sucks. I was roped in, I'll admit it. It sounded so good. An Crash course MBA, who can beat that. But I was desperate. I was excited when I started and I worked hard to be successful like I do at everything I set my mind too but this was crazy. It only took to three months to see the cult mentality and Amway multi level marketing way of advancement. The group I trained with were amazing people. We had so much fun and the group trainer was amazing. One of the girls I trained with ended up moving into my area. I made a special point to go and see her. We went through all the cordial, how ya doing, your sales look good, blah, blah, blah. As soon as I left the office I called her on her cell phone and told her I could tell that she absolutley hated ERAC. She thought it was funny because she thought the same of me. I guess the facial expressions just couldn't hide it. I told her I was making up all kinds of lies to go to interviews because I hated the customers, hated the pay, tired of ruining new clothes and sick of 12 to 13 hours days and getting the same paycheck regardless of how many hours I worked because overtime always reflects on the next weeks check.
I left Erac after 5 months. I'm a new person now. I've got the job I thought I would never have. I'm making almost 3 times the money my last branch manager was making. Amazingly enough my last BM was my little brother's best friend. So I knew him well. I feel sorry for him. He's a great guy and loves to rent cars. He loves to rent cars. That just strikes me as crazy.
Erac got me the job I have now because the guy that hired me knows how hard MT's work. So I really owe Erac gratitude for the experience and being able to put that experience on my resume.
If you've realized that Erac does suck there are jobs and people out there looking for you or respect the experience. Keep looking and eventually something good will come along.
Anyone can a rent a car. Anyone. It's like asking if you want a apple pie with that. I'm sorry I'm bashing MCDonalds because some of them are very hardworking and capable people but you catch my drift. Good luck to all. Thanks for reading.

I completely agree with everything on this website, i currently work at an enterprise branch, and feel like i am literally stuck here. I'm trying to find a new job, but not only do i not have enough time to look for a job, let alone interview for one, but i cant even think of anything good to put on my resume that will make my time at enterprise even look good on paper! if anyone can think of some good power words to put on my resume so i can get out of this hell hole, i'd really appreciate it!

Inventory control of rental vehicles. Managed and deployed vehicles efficiently and as cost effective as possible.
Marketing on a daily basis to ensure continued growth and maintaining relationships with business partners.
Experience in administrative procedures such as cash receipt summary, processing deposits and payments, and reading and understanding various accounting and sales reports.
Offered superior customer service in all areas of Enterprise

This is just an example. Use the same description that Erac used to rope you in.

I feel for all you fine folks. I also worked at ERAC but I never fell for the cult mentality. I was always independent and that was one of the reasons I never got promoted. Now I have my new job and I feel as if I've been liberated. I agree with the above post, ERAC does give you one thing that helps on your resume. Work ethic, there are a lot of employers out there who know of ERAC and their ability to turn intelligent, charismatic and professional employees into mindless drones. My current job offered me a position after 2 interviews, they by-passed the 3 others because I worked for ERAC. When I asked her why she was doing that she told me she loved my responses to her interview questions. I was seeking independence, financial security and opportunity for advancement, and when she saw that I listed ERAC as a previous employer she knew where I was coming from having worked there herself for 5 years and hating it until she discovered that the grass is truly greener on the other side of the fence. If you can stand to work at ERAC for a year then you have the discipline of a shaolin master, and any job you go to after that will seem like a dream job even if it’s Wallmart, and you will work ten times harder just to keep it, its amazing how hard I work now, I love my job. The one thing I really hated at ERAC was asking to go for lunch, I felt like I was in grade school again, “may I please go for lunch now?” In my new job I'm in charge of my life, I come when I please I go when I please, if I want an early lunch so be it. As long as I produce, nobody gets in my face. Take care all you hard working people, just know that there is always something better on the other side of the fence.
