actually i am neither a promoter or demoter of erac. however everyone who has worked there can be bitter but can agree there is a benefit to working there in the short term. that is a definite. does it suck? yes. is it mentally and physically grueling? yes. do they pay? no. do you wash cars? yes. do you drive most of the day? yes. is there a lot that can be learned outside of those functions to propel you to another career?yes. if you currently work there devise a plan or prepare yourself in 2-3 years that you will be working somewhere else. that is the only real dream. the dream is not making up the ladder where 100k is waiting in 5 years. now the ladder leads to a burning building going downward not upward. money is less, control is less and opportunity is less and good people are few and far between. be aware that college grads will slowly disappear from erac's feeding system and the company is devising there own plan to go public when the famous jack taylor passes.

ANS. Graduated 2006 with a BBA in finance with a GPA around 3.5, participated in club and organization activities that related to my field, before that I received an associates in business administration.

Q2. Are you currently employed?
ANS. I just recently accepted a position working part-time for the city hall.

Q3. But you're still interested in working for Enterprise?
ANS. Yes

Q4. This is primarily a sales and customer service position, is that something you would be interested in?
ANS. Yes (Shaking my head no while I answer)

Q5. Do you have any customer service experience?
ANS. No retail or food service experience but I did work 6 months for the county elections office as a clerk greeting the general public and responding to their inquiries for information.

Q6. Do you have any sales experience?
ANS. No

Q7. How would you assist Enterprise customers?
ANS. I would do my best to provide answers to any questions that they had, help them choose the best option that is right for them, and resolve any concerns or conflicts to the best of my abilities.

Q8. Where do you see yourself in the future?
ANS. I would eventually like to start my own business but before that I would really like to gain valuable experience in a business setting and make a significant contribution to that company

Q9. What type of work environment would you prefer?
ANS. I would like to work in a team environment, team atmosphere where I could learn from coworkers as well as assist them when possible.

There were a few more but these were the ones I most remember. I would love to know what you guys were asked and how you responded.

You were probably "dissed" because of the lack of sales experience.

Dont feel bad buddy. I just got off an 8 month stay with enterprise GP19. It was the worst 8 months of my life! Washing cars and kissing ass for 11 hours a day. I was one of the top salesmen there and they wanted more. When I finally started looking for another job, they found out. After all the bullshit I had to put up with there, now they were calling me unfaithfull and told me if I didnt quit they would make sure I couldnt get a job somewhere else..ever

I'll tell you exactly why you didn't get hired: No sales experience.

When I applied online I said no sales experience (even though I'd worked in retail for a year, I thought they were asking about outside sales) and I got a politely worded "thanks but no thanks" e-mail. I wrote back and told them about my retail sales experience and they called me back for an interview.

I believe there are just boxes they have to check before they can bring someone in, and "sales experience" is probably one of them.

But as others have made clear before, you're better off not working there.

Other than the pay, I really had no interest working there or even considered working there. A few days later I got their pre-screening phone call. I wasn't expecting all the questions they asked, it was basically a surprise interview, but I thought I told them everything they wanted to hear except for my lack of sales and cs experience and the fact that I had taken a part-time job working for my city. Yesterday I received their rejection letter and stressed about it all day. I found this site browsing yahoo answers trying to find some solace and feel much better now. The long hours, menial duties, and stated pay that can only be met by reaching incentives and quotas as mentioned here makes me happy they rejected me. Thanks Failing Enterprise!
You have to have some cs and sales/marketing experience to be considered. I know all of you think ANYONE can get hired at erac, but some regions have well over 200 applications a month.

I had no sales experience at all and was hired by ERAC. I've said it before and I'll say it again...if you have a heartbeat and a college degree, you're hired. Unless you're an idiot.
