At least in the wintertime I could just lie to customers and say the hose is frozen. Washing cars in 100+ degree heat was one of the worst parts of the job. Other times of the year I liked washing cars, it meant less phones I had to pickup |

| Hey Angela, The fact that you said you do not like or want to go out and party/drink with your co-workers will hurt you if you go to ERAC. There will be several functions after work that will require your attendance (ie, Happy Hours, Area Meetings, etc) but also your Branch (Team) will also hold "meetings after work"?? where you will go to a bar and eat, drink etc. If you don't attend these meetings you will not be seen as part of the team. Also, most of the other after work meetings are mandatory. No one factors those into your pay or hours as well when you end up staying out until 10:00pm at an area meeting but technically it is still work. Good Luck! |

...there you go...happy. Actualy there is an Erac very close by I will be bringing my resume to, thanks for asking. This place breeds negativity, say what you will about me, I came here for advice, not a hazing. I think this website was a good idea at first, but look what kind of attention it's attracting, how sad. Thanks to the individuals who gave good advice, to the others...get your heads outta your ass, and grow up. |

| Angela, I just want to say that not all ERACers are having a bad experience. I have been with the company for almost 1 1/2 years and was promoted to assistant manager after only ten months. When I first started, I washed A LOT of cars, however, the more you learn and the higher position you are, you will hardly wash a car. As for meetings, in my group, if you are hourly (MT or MA) you get paid for going to meetings (not happy hours). I have never felt pressured to go to happy hours even though we only have them about twice a month. I work a lot of hours and put in a lot of dedication. I have moved up the ladder faster than most because my hard work DID NOT go unnoticed. You reap what you sow. ERAC is not for everyone. However, so far in my experience, I'm glad I am with this company. I would suggest you go and actually speak to someone in an ERAC office about the job than trusting some of these point-of-views on this site. Don't forget, a lot of the people on this site are ex-emloyees who are angry. There are many of us who choose to stay because we like what we do and can hack it. |
