What does a MT in Southern California Receive?

Are they paid by the hour what kind of benefits do they get? I am wondering because my girlfriend is going in for her second interview soon and she thinks she is going to be making $45,000 ++ a year or more to start and full benefits can someone please set her strait thank you.

What the? There is no way!! I believe that amount is what the average BM makes when they first get promoted to BM

24k a year after taxes - do not take the job if you value life or having free time other than sleeping.

Your girlfriend is nuts, I worked as an mt/ma in gp32 and I made a little over 29k and that was with tons of over time while working for a seven day a week branch for 7 months plus and I had a few car sales referals. My advice to you tell her to keep looking. Best of luck to both of you.

If you want to continue having a relationship with your girlfriend you will do her a favor and tell her to keep on looking right away. Once she starts working, count on at least 55 hour weeks. As she gets "wet", its more like 60 and then a weekend and then it turns into 7 straight days 12-14 hours/day..On top of that, since she is not married, all the horny boys will be hitting on her..and eventually after 7 days 12hours/day seeing someones face..I have seen many destroy current marriages/relationships.. On top of that, she will be attending A LOT of happy hours ( even though they say you are invited, you and her are looked down if you attend )
The stress that she will go through with customers and upper management is unbearable at times. In the beginning she may not see that right away as she is not bought in yet..As time goes by, you will see the difference. Couple of days after I quit ecrap, my husband told me he had never seen me happier before ( we married while i was at ecrap ). That is huge!!
As far as money, whoever told you 45+/year...is a LIAR. If she had the first interview with the recruiter, she should have been explained about pay. It starts at about 24-25 ( that is for an average 48-52 hour/week ). Unless she sells cars everyday like crazy, or her region gives bonuses for employee referrals and she hires 1000000 people, she would not be going far above 24-25k her first year. Do the math, and you will see how much she gets per hour.....scary!!!
Some argue it is good training for a year or so, and then get a real job, but what you go through some days at that job, is not worth crap.

I had to work six days a week and on sundays I had to wash cars ready for monday.It was a nightmare.I earnt 23,000 for a year!

My BF is getting the same starting offer in san francisco. I think it highly varies where you're located- san francisco the min wage is 8.50$..highest in the nation.
