Actually if you are an assistant or manager and move from an office of 50 cars to 100 cars you are making quite a bit more money. I would call that a promotion of sorts. Moving through branches is part of moving up the ladder in ERAC, as a manager you usually start off with a small branch and work your way up as opportunity arises. I don't know of anyone who went from a small branch to ARM do you?

If you remember correctly, there are three levels of MT pay, and promotions also can consist of moves to larger offices. It looks like you are just really bitter you couldn't get promoted at ERAC. LET IT GO. WHO CARES?
I agree, I worked at erac for 3.5 years and was promoted MT, MA (1 month), AM two locations (1 big 1 small) , branch manager (1 med, 1 large, 1 extra large). Thats 6 promotions within 3.5 years

I can't believe a company would like to hire friends of a current employee that is just stupid... All companies do it you jack asses, retention is always higher when you work with people you consider "friends" I just got my buddy hired and yes I made a $1000. Giving bonus's for getting people hired is very common ask any HR person at a larger company. Having friends refer employee lead to better qualified canadates, larger retention, and people know what to expect.
And I think #1 post is an ERAC ex employee because who's say's SPIFF if they havn't worked for the company most people would call it a BONUS.
So to answer the first question yes he is your pimp and your his bitch and he just made a $1000.

Just a quick question, and it has nothing to do with Enterprise:

When you write "Oh Ya", is this slang, or just a regionalism? If I were from Minnesota or similar, would this be considered similar to "Oh, yeah"?

I'm curious because I've seen it a couple of times.

Anybody?

Do you mean is it a regional dialect as far as writing habits even? I think you can see that between UK and US dicta on this site. I do believe it is regionalized. But then there are subregions within where the dialect changes even more. Take the midwest. It ranges from Canadian type accents to your full blown southern redneck, slack-jawed drawl. I know there are some people that have even wrote in thier posts "you all" when addressing a singular person.

But then again this spelling habit also could mean that some people just don't know how to spell.

I am scheduled for an interview this week. While reading up on the company, I came across this message board. It seems to me that this has saved me a lot of wasted time.
Quickly, it appears that most people posting are either new to the workforce or were when they started at Enterprise. I have been a financial professional for over 5 years now. I mistakenly [apparently] thought that Enterprise might offer an interesting opportunity for someone with my background and experience. I am guessing, even with outstanding performance at Enterprise, that it might take me another 3-4 years to get back to my current pay scale.
I still think that the interview could be amusing, especially after reading the revelations posted here - although I don't believe I should waste my time or the recruiters. At any rate, it was not a total waste because this site has made me chuckle my ass off. I will share it with others as I believe it is: a) a useful vent for those that put up with their crap, b) providing a service AND c) a good microcosm of problems that exist with many employers. Take care.
