Default MT too good to be true?

I am here after googling enterprise management trainee because their career site sounded too good to be true, something smell fishy and I guess I do have some intuition.

I guess job ads are like car ads, if it sounds too good then something is wrong.

You don't need anyone to reply to this. Just check out the rest of the discussion board. That should answer any question you have.

Okay I got sucked into reading more than what I wanted to. You know what, i've sold cars for almost two years and I was averaging 55k a year in a small town in souther part of VA. And I only washed my customers cars maybe three times at most in two years because I wanted to take care of it, it was passed 9pm and they were in F&I.

A good rule of thumb for Enterprise recruiters is this: you can tell they are lying if their lips are moving. Worst job ever...

if you went to college to work in retail and customer service with deadbeat customers and long hours and no real money to be made...than this is your place.

I didnt...so I left. Best decision EVER

The only reason to work at Enterprise is to quit 1 year after starting and you will then never complain about any job you have again!

oh man this is a total buzzkill. i just spent the entire morning filling out the ridiculously long online application for enterprise...i met a recruiter at this job fair yesterday at Sacramento State who wants to interview me tomorrow morning for the position. i was soooo excited cuz it seemed like such a cool job!! why do i have to have the worst luck ever!?
this blows. i just graduated in december, moved from IL to CA last month and have 2 sucky jobs in 2 months...i thought this one might be one i can actually make a career with....guess i was wrong. So where IS a good place to work??? whats the deal....i thought having a degree would make life easier...it doesnt really, huh.

ERAC is fucking garbage, same with the recruiters and management that takes advantage of, abuses and uses their young college grad recruits as slave labor.

You will be on welfare and you will work 70+ hours a week.

ERAC will destroy your life.

Call the recruiter and tell him to fuck off, he is a sadist.

A degree means you're committed to getting something done and you're willing to invest at least a few years to accomplish it. Understanding at times, it's not fun and is hard work.

Life is about having connections and getting lucky - being at the right place at the right time. Fate is something you can't control. Some people do "all the right things" and get nowhere, and others don't do anything, and don't deserve anything, but have everything. It all depends on your definition of nothing and everything. I gave up trying to control every part or my life, because I know I can't. Hindsight is 20-20. If you're living your life right, you should have no regrets. Obviously, if I'd known ahead of time, that a descision I made would come back to hurt me, I wouldn't have made it. We can only go by what information we had at the time we made the initial decision. Being a Christian helps me rationalize what I just can't rationalize. Too many people get frustrated by mistakes that they need to learn from, and others are fighting with what to do, instead of following their spirit and doing what they were meant to do.

Sounds like you need to go through these experiences to get you to where you are going. I don't think anyone ever knows what they're going to do when they "grow up".
