Why do you hate? You failed not Enterprise... There are 65K strong still living the dream. A new office opens everyday and that means more opportunity. Does your company build a new cubicle everyday?

If you have a heart and can sacrifice a few years to build your career then this is the #1 career in the world.
Best of luck to all of you!
Why would you possibly check out this site then?

I laughed in his face.

He then proceeded to show me a "bonus check" from a "branch manager."

It was for $450.

Then he got all smiley, and explained how there is a new hire training seminar in two weeks, and got on the phone, fuckin... BOOKING ME A HOTEL ROOM, at a fleabag Super 8.

I just got my stuff, told him to shove it, and walked out.

It felt GREAT!

Don't be a fool for this shit job. Your life is better than renting cars to losers who can't drive.
Since when does ERAC book hotel rooms for training seminars??? If you're coming in as an MT, you're within driving distance to the training center, within the region, no overnights necessary (unless, maybe, a freak storm hits while you're training - unlikely). So, while much of this sounds plausible, that part makes it false for me.

Actually they book rooms at a shitty travelodge just across the road from the head office in U1. The whole scenario seems true to me - I know people who were shown copies of paycheques at their first round interview.

I easily lived within driving distance in my group during MT training and they put us all up in a hotel. It wasn't a flee-bag hotel. Actually, it was moderately nice. ERAC did a good job on selling me the company initially. I ate steak more than twice the first week on the company’s bill. I thought any company that comes as highly recommended, puts me up in a hotel and feeds me steak is ok by me. I even got invited to a happy hour before I'd even began, during that first training week. Now that's how you sell a company!

Too bad it was all just smoke and mirrors. How naive I was. I got in just before things started to head downhill in my group. Talk about great timing?!

if living the dream is renting cars, you need to set your bar a little higher.
a new office opens everyday? I dunno about that, but i can show you numerous branches that haven't op'ed for months and should be closed...and the flip numbers have been steady dropping for the last 7 months (at least in my region), doubtful to ever return. detroit group anyone???
and lolol at cubicle, as if you have to work in a cubicle or flip burgers if you leave the dream.
while i didn't make 6 figures after leaving the dream, i did make more than my branch manager did, right off the bat...it was funny, this same guy who let me go for "performance reasons" was kissing my ass weeks later when i had to fleet rent
better start getting ready for monday!!

You just don't get it. Flip is back and has been back for a few months. $240/car on average per branch. Renting cars is the game, managing people is the paycheck. I am sorry you could not figure that out. Good luck at whatever it is you do.

It's just ERAC in denial. They feel better telling everyone you've gone off to Burger King etc. Which makes you wonder really - why are they hiring such people in the first place, and what does it say about the ERAC training scheme and virtual MBA?
