Actually.. it feels wonderful. I am going out tonight to celebrate with my long suffering GF. I can't believe I don't have to be back in that office tomorrow morning at 8:30. I feel like.. A HUGE WEIGHT has been removed from my life. I did a year in that shit. Now I feel like I can live again. FUCK WHITE SHIRTS, I'm gonna burn them, along with the memories of that nightmare. Anyone above Ass Man is scum

8:30 on Saturday, bro. Normally, during the week it was 7:00. I AM LOVING MY ERAC FREE LIFE!!! Went out to eat tonight, just chillin now with my GF, sippin some wine, listening to tunes, she's staying over.... right now getting ready for bed, so I thought I'd check on this page. It feels AMAZING not having to go there tomorrow. Peace Out!!!!

Out of nowhere, they asked me into the office, closed the door, and asked me how it was "goin." I said fine, it was my Branch and Area managers. They asked about my CDW, which was fine, I thought it was about that. Then they asked me how I liked working for ERAC, and I said it was fine, I've not even called off a day sick, in the year that I was employed, never took vacation, anything. I said it was hard work, but what isn't, then asked them why they were wanting to know. They said "Well, we feel that you're not happy here, and you might find yourself working out better somewhere else." I said... "What?" And they said, "Yes, we have talked about it, and your attitude is not that great, so we are letting you go." There was this awkward silence, for about 30 seconds, then I asked... "Can I go, now?" And they said, "Yes." I got a huge smile and thanked them, and ran - not walked - to my car. The weekend started early!!!!!! AND I never have to go back there. Today was awesome.. First Saturday in over a year that I did not have to go there. I woke up like 2 in the afternoon, like Peter Gibbons in Office Space, when he just skips that Saturday, looked around, my GF was out somewhere, but left me lunch in the fridge, and I thanked God that I did not have to spend the day renting cars. Tomorrow the Sunday paper comes out, soooo I'll start the new job hunt. But for now, the fact that I have no more ERAC.... It feels like heaven.

i suggest filing for unemployment, you'd have a strong case for collection... if you were an MT or MA you'll qualify for around 26 weeks of aprox $680 twice a month...not bad as a cushion untill you find greener pastures. plus it pisses erac off to have a lot of unemployment claims filed against them. this is the route i took when i was let go from ERAC for "performance reasons" they fought the claim viciously but i won and lol'ed at them |

Are you concerned at all about what they'll tell prospective employers? Is it true that all they can give out is your position and your start/quit dates? Can they answer "no" to the "would you rehire ____?" Also, should I be concerned about not reporting a speeding ticket to Admin/my area manager? If getting fired can hurt my chances of employment elsewhere, I might want to quit before that happens. But, if I get fired, I don't have to work those painful final 2 weeks...what a conundrum!
