| I have digested much of the information on this site and i recognise the pitfalls that face me. I have successfully passed the recruitment process in the UK and i am due to start work at the biggest Cardiff branch. Many of the complaints suggested agains ERAC are rather generic of all jobs. Lets be honest the perfect job isnt out there for most people! My resaon for this post is not to demonstrate i bleed green and argue ERAC's corner. On the contrary in fact, i am as self centre as they come, look after number one. After graduating University ( well i am graduating in July and expect to get a 2:1 honours (equiv of an A- or a B+) i have no firm offers at the moment. Is it not sensible to use ERAC for experience...regardless of what people say; future emplyers will look kindly on experience of this nature. What would people recommend i do? Surely its wise to give it a try, see what i think? After a year, if im not an assistant manager perhaps a reality check would be sensible. |

| Newbie, your actions are noble and intelligent. I used to work for ERAC. I can tell you that office politics are almost similar in every business I have worked in the last few years. What I can tell you is that employers like to see ERAC on a resume. It shows you are a hard worker while you work those 14 hour days and in the most extreme circumstances. However, office politics at ERAC are a little more extreme in the sense that most of upper management truly do not care for their employees except the "chosen" few. If you become one of the chosen, you will have a profitable career at ERAC. If you are not, stay for at least one year and then circulate your resume and you will have recruiters calling you like crazy. I guarantee it. Best of luck in all your future endeavors. |

| Thank you very much for your candid response. I totally respect this site for what it is. And as a historian, by academic trade, i like to consider both sides of any argument. I say this not to spark a debate, but many of the anti-ERAC contributors here clearly are motivated by their personal hatred or dislike of ERAC. This is likely to stem from specific bad experiences, or more likely there lack of success/promotion. I am going to take use ERAC as a learning curve - use it for what it is and potnetially what it can be. Then i can make my own judgement call on whether or not it is the most advantageous career for me. BTW does anyone know why only 2 out of the 20+ people at the assessment centre that i participated in were offered a position? The branch im going to is desperate for staff - so why are they still picky for staff? |

Very healthy attitude. Keep us posted and make sure you get out of there once you have some good experience and a firm offer in your field. Good luck! |

| "many of the anti-ERAC contributors here clearly are motivated by their personal hatred or dislike of ERAC. This is likely to stem from specific bad experiences, or more likely there lack of success/promotion." You blindly agree with those comments that say ERAC is great and consign all those who have had bad experiences as losers who didnt get promoted. I was a superstar manager and the job sucked ass.See you in a few months dumb fuck.Your not qualified to talk about this god awful company until you have experienced erac hell itself! You wont get it though.God I hate small minded dicks like you! |

| Could you check the IP address of the first three posts please.I noticed similar spelling problems.I think ERAC employees are purposefully writing in fake posts to make the company look good! Please post response on here...thanks! |

It's obvious from the text that the first and third messages are from the same person, and the IP addresses are the same. Middle one's different. | The first and third were from me... There is such hostility to people who want to give the company a try. Fine it may be shite and people have bad experiences. Maybe in a couple of months i will hate the place, but to call me a dumb fuck because im trying to look at both sides of the arguement is endemic of a response from someone who is very narrow minded. As i mentioned in all my posts im not here to argue either side, i simply asked if people think it would be wise to give it a go and see what i think. Then at very worst i would have earnt something, rather than sitting on my ass and earning sweet f.a. and i would have gained some experience. ~Thanks to those who have answered maturely. |
