Please Help! Need advice regarding my interview!

Does anyone know what kind of questions they ask and/or how the selection process will be?

I've just graduated (university) and am looking for my first real job experience. I'm quite impressed about all the negative postings, but am still willing to at least take the interview as an experience.

Is there anybody who knows the business in Germany and if there are similar "problems" with ERAC here (for employees and customers)?

The interview will be next tuesday and I would greatly appreciate any kind of comment!!

I heard at the end of the interview when they ask you, "Do you have any questions for us?" You should say something like, "Yes, so when is my next interview?" just to kind of show them you are really interested.

It's true. ERAC is huge on "the sell". Sell yourself.. always ask for either the next interview (or if you're final interview, the job itself) as your last question. A good lead in to this is when they ask if you have any questions, say:

1: "What qualities do YOU look for most in a management trainee"
2: "Based on this interview, do I fit those criteria"
3: [assuming you get a positive response] "When do I start / when is the next interview"

It's a classic win-win formula that they look for, in both rental and admin.

Yes in Germany your best bet is walkin into the interview with a little square mustache, they will immediately hire you.... Hope this helps

Refer to my internship post for this. I am almost sure the questions are the same.

#1 - Go on the Enterprise website and print out all the published articles from newspapers and journal articles. Bring them with you and refer to them during the interview. Refer to important quotes from Any Taylor, and how you think his values resemble yours and the kind of work environment you would like to be working in.

#2 - Tell them you like to have fun and the non-stop crazy atmosphere is what you like to work in.

#3 - Say that you are looking for "accelerated advancement" and the Enterprise model is what you are looking for. (i.e. upper management in less than 5 years)

#4 - Have a resume handy and emphasie any sales/teamwork experience you have had.

#5 - They will ask you questions about experience in teams and how you dealt with pressure/conflict.

I am pretty sure this formula will work. It did for me at least. Hey, if the internship does suck, you will out in 2 months.

As for the mustache- tempting, but that doesn't really suit a girl. You must be a very sophisticated and up-to-date person. Wish you all the best!

Evidently you haven't seen the wimmin at ERAC.

My best advice is: Get up at 0600, worry that you dont have any cars for the 50 people that say they are coming in between 0900 and 1000 but that you know will turn up at 0730 before the office is open and unlock your gates as you try and arrange your day, get some random people (generally chavs/douchebags) to scream at you for no reason other than your superior booked them a sky blue car with pink spots for £2.50 even though they are only 12. Try and get your superior on the phone (he said he would be with you at 8 to help out) but fail miserably and finally find out that he has had an extremely urgent meeting on the sofa in front of the tv. HAve all of your employees out for 12 hours non-stop whilst you sit in the office trying to figure out when cars will be available - get a call from your Manager screaming at you to pick up dropped cars that are at least an hours drive each way from your office, try and turn down a deal, get harassed by upper management because you have a car available even though it is in France, because your imbecile of a boss took a deal that he knew we couldn't do legally and will no doubt blame on you. Work until 10pm as your emploees return tired to such an extent that you feel they are not safe on the roads. Explain your concerns to your boss who tells you to shut up and then presents them to his boss a week later.

Get home at midnight having eaten a sandwich from a service station.

Repeat for the rest of your life, preferably on dismal pay and little prospects.

Intelligent comment!! It´s actually quite pathetic that there are still some people who can only refer to Hitler when thinking of Germany. That´s not very impressive.
