I know the career sounds really good. Recruiters are in their positions because of their ability to charm, sell, and accentuate the positive. Take a military recruiter, they still can get new people even though there is an illegal war taking place in Iraq and Afghanistan! That's another subject though. There is no way to tell if a job is right for you until you get into it so don't take what a recruiter says to heart. They get paid for bringing you in the family so they don't really care about you as a person. The "career" is constant stress, long hours, little pay, harrassment, ridicule, alcohol and drug abuse, and empty promises. It can be a decent resume builder though as many have gone on to make more money with less hours and ALOT less stress. The mentioning of ERAC being a cult was funny to me at first, then you look up the definition of cult and ERAC is just that. Look through the rest of the site for more details about this job. Good luck to you.

Look at this person's post. "Illegal War"??? What is that? Are you Anti-American? Nobody wants War, but I support our troops. Don't take advice from a pussy. This career is the best. You can make so much $$ and have the best life. I am 8years in and I make more $$ than I can spend. If you can work hard and not complain about the small stuff then the career path is easy. If you are like the previous poster then it is impossible and you will feel like everyone is out to get you. The bottom line is that the people that fail simply fail everywhere...

Only take this job as a last resort. If you do take it, keep any of your contacts strong and keep your eyes open for a career that you will enjoy. The hours are garbage, you almost never get a chance to eat lunch and good luck being home in time for dinner or having a social life. This company is a joke. They make employees wash cars in suits when it is 20 degrees or 95 degrees, you are looked down upon if you react negativly to an "office lunch" (they'll buy some pizza in return for you skipping your break - hey, who needs a break during an 11 hour day anyway), they drill the concept of work-life balance into you in an effort to take your mind off the fact that you are working a full extra week each month compared to the average fulltime US employee, they have no idea how to hold onto their employees as their retention rate is one of the worst for a company its size, the majority of the people "in power" have a undergraduate degree at best... the list goes on and on. If you can, skip the interview and take a few weeks looking for something better. It will be well worth it. This way you can save yourself from hearing the standard cult lines of "couldn't hack it," "failure," "not one of us, one of us, one of us." Skipping ERAC will give you a jump start on a real career.

The words of a lazy person. Tell me where you can work for 20 years and retire besides the NFL, NBA, or MLB. ERAC is the company for winners, not whiners. If you are strong and can sell then ERAC is the place to be. My 5 years have been great. I was recently promoted to Area Manager here in the midwest and it is great.

I was just promoted to cleaning the washroom at the local ERAC office. I can just smell the $$$.... c'mon, we need some more people to talk shit Here's one: ya, just got promoted to area manager. I'm rich and make millions. Andy will be calling me soon to be a VP in St. Louis... I HOPE no one is stupid enough to buy this pipe dream.

I would like to know how many employees have retired from Enterprise....all the higher ups that I saw.....got fired or "let go" before they could work 10 years....most were axed around 5-7 years. I am assuming this person thinks he will make the same money as a pro sports athlete....best of all....renting cars! I thought I had read all the comments that Pro_ERAC'ers could put out there....this is a new one! __________________ "the grass is $greener$ on the other side!"

most likely, you will be let go...like the last ARM was, and the one before him, and the one before him i work in a midwest region and not one ARM in the last few yrs has progressed past that level. you got a good jump start, having the RRM as your friend. but you won't last, the writing is on the wall |
