Hello to our German friends:

I would like this site to be accomodating to everyone, including customers, employees, and potential employees who speak German, so let me ask a few questions:

1. Should we have a section on the discussion board for people to post using the German language?

2. Should we have an introductory page on the site, written in German?

Is any of this even necessary, or do enough Germans read and write English that this isn't a problem?

Hey Admin, The link above does a loose translation of most websites or paragraphs. From my experience with ERAC - Germany The higher ups all speak english. As do most of the rental agents. However, having the site in german may increase your traffic!!! Not to mention that most customers in Germany will only speak german.

Keep up the good work!!

Also, you may want to consider French (canada). Maybe an initial log on page that asks you your language/country preference

I probably won't be able to translate the whole site and make it trilingual and keep it updated. I was thinking of perhaps having a welcome page in both German and French, and then maybe having a separate section on the discussion board for these languages.

But I don't want to divide the board and lose the critical mass.

I'd appreciate feedback on this, especially from French or German speakers.

Oh, and if you could make a good quality translation of a page of English text into French or German, I'd like to hear from you also...

Erac is trying to get really big in germany but most people have never heard of them. If germans rent cars than usually they do that with sixt - thats the big one here - and from what i have heard they treat their employees much better :)

I think most people in germany who are thinking about working for erac do speak english because we have to take it in school and you learn alot from the military stationed here.

Admin, your website is very well known in germany - most people in germany who research about erac find it and talk about it. so you did your job well.

what personally entertains me is that erac cant do what they want here - we got strict laws about vacation time etc. so they gotta let you go and let you have your daily lunch-break.
It was very nice of you to offer to let us write in german but i dont think you need that. if you still want to do it though, admin, then email me and i can translate it for you :)

p.s. i guess i need to sign up - never posted here before just read
