Just started

I had fecently moved back to Massachusetts and was without a job, moved back to my parents house, and my girl also told me to get lost. So as you could imagine the times were tough and I needed a job. So i started the MT program. Now that I'm back on my feet and got my confidence back that my girl tried to rip from my chest, I realized where I was working. I have to get up at 600am and go to work for 11 hours. But thats the part I like. I like to be busy and I like to sell but this job is totally different. they told me I would make 34,000 for working 47 hours. no problem. Right? Wrong! I work 55 hours and make 600 bucks a week take home. You do the math. And imagine not having over time hours? The only thing that gets me by during the day is the car prep who cracks me up all day long because he complains about his fat wife, and the other MT at my program who tells me how much coke he blew the night before. My branch manager had been out for a week, and I got a good look at what it would be like to be the assistant manager of a shit show. I have currently started job searching again. Now I just have to find out when I can interview. Oh and by the way I fell asleep at 10:30 both Friday and Saturday night. I am 25 and single, and I fell asleep 10:30 friday and saturday night. Something aint right. I'm burning out.

Which region of Group 10 are you in??

The state of MA is divided into two groups. Group 10 ( Boston area ) and Group 48 ( Western Mass ). I am not sure which group you are part of. I can only speak for GP 48. They suck terribly. Their upper management is very corrupted. Everyone at admin in Windsor Locks, CT starting from the RRM ( a woman who only promotes single white young male employees ) and everyone else already has a plan for you from the day you start. If they don't like you, they will find a way to get rid of you. They will tell you lies, work you to death. My old BM used to change my timesheet and delete all the over time after I enter what we worked. He made us stay till 7:30-8pm till all callbacks are 100% and all cars on the lot are clean for the next day. Needless to say, his retention was 0. I would not be surprised if you are part of that failing group, however it seems that is the trend across the country, so all groups are the same way.
Good luck in your job hunt and hopefully you will be out very very soon. Make sure you use up all your choice time before you give your notice, since that is something you don't get paid for when you leave. Vacation days is what you will get paid for, depending how long you have been there.

Thanks for the confidence boost. That was some funny shit, and I am back out there doing just that. Its nice to have support from the boys though. The only reason I enjoy work is because of the group of people at my office. Why is it that these people are so absorbed by the job...and are only making 40K. Everyone is on diet pills..sleeping pills or some other sort of drug. It is scary to see that people will resort to this. I am taking the job as lightly as possible for now until I find that way out. If they don't take the CDW, then thats it..no more pushing and I have fun talking to the customers on my pickups about bullshit...but why on earth would I want to make assistant manager and be stuck in the office all day trying to get cars for the fifty reservations I have for the day..then go home take some pills of choice and wake up saying I manage people...hipfuckin horay! Its a bad cycle..and its amazing that MT's see this and want to become management. I guess its because they rope em in on the first job out of college, and they don't know any better.
