And what you are not understanding Steve-O is that we are also working hard. We are no longer putting in 65+ hour weeks, but that does not mean we are working hard. My profession does not require me to work more than 8 hours a day, although at times it is necessary. BUt in the hours I am here I am working very hard to get my job done. I work on transactions worth tens of millions of dollars and it is imperative that I focus, clients do not like to here about mistakes when they are paying thousands in fees to my firm each month. So, cut out all the lazy talk. ANd FYI, all of us have done what you are doing so we can make judgments. You have not done what we have so you cannot.

HEY! I thought you only had Tues and Saturday off?

This web site was desgined to make future ERAC customers and employees aware of what type of company ERAC is and some of the issues people have had to deal with when working for/ with them. I've only shared experiences I've had with ERAC when I worked there and I share my opinions about the company...if no one cares about my opinion then fine but this is a message board and thats what they are for.

I dont believe anything I have said about ERAC is untrue. I'm not making judgements on you and fellow eracers any more than you are making judgements on me and former employees. If you dont like what I say then dont read it...isnt freedom of speech cool?! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

By the way, Like I've said before, I'm glad you and others like you chose to "work as hard as you do" someone has to work there right? What would the world be like with out garbage men, fastfood fry cooks, those people who clean septic tanks, and rental car employees.

Weekend Update! And actually it's an extra special looooooong weekend update! I love three day weekends, it is so great to have Monday off, an extra day to kick back and relax, sleep late, and then next week is a short work week. Well, unless you work at ERAC in which case you will be in the office at 7:15 on Monday morning. But I'm getting waaaaaaaaaaay ahead of myself.

So, this weekend is my birthday and we got an awesome weekend planned. Saturday night, about 8-10 of us are headed to a little brew pub in Cambridge, eat a bit and drink a bit, really have a good night. Most people will crash at my place because on Sunday we are all getting up nice and early to head down to Gillette for the Patriots game. Get there about 9ish and start tailgating, burgers, brats, beer. Head into the game to watch the Browns get smoked and then come back out and fire up the grill all over again. Put the Sox on the radio and just sit back and relax.

But the day is not over yet! It will be early when we get home, and since I don't get the shakes about work at 4:00 pm anymore, or more importantly, since I am off on Monday it will be time to head to the local drinking establishment to hear a friends band play. Expect it to be a late night since, and I love repeating this to eracians, no work on Monday. Now Monday, probably crawl out of bead around 10 or 11 and head to the local diner for a nice breakfast with the wife and then head back home to sit on the couch and do nothing all day! Wow, does that sound like a great weekend or what?!

So Steve-O, what are your plans? Work. Yeah, I figured that. Well, have fun in the office. Don't worry, I'll be having fun NOT being at the office :)

Stevie: You are way outnumbered chimp. Just give it the fuck up. We all know the ERAC propaganda and I actually think when they fuck you over you could become a good contibutor on this site. Have fun vacuuming french fries today!

Happy Birthday!

Sounds like you have an awesome weekend ahead!

Now Steve, I know you're going to say I am lazy but I'm working from home today...like I do every Friday. Its such a gorgeous day outside. I think during lunch I'm going to go eat outside on my deck and just enjoy the weather, might as well get paid to get a little sun. I need to get my self a laptop so I can work from by deck, or pool, or what have you.

Tonight my fiance and I have some serious shopping and cooking to do. We're having some close friends come up this Saturday for a mini Octoberfest of our own. There's going to be tons of good food and plenty of seasonal wine and pumpkin beer to drink. We're going to have some homemade clam chowder and apple cider keeping warm over the low fire (in our backyard fire place). Before everyone gets too drunk or full we're going to carve some pumpkins and I'm going to make my famous home made pumpkin pie (from real pumpkins...none of that canned stuff). Everyone is going to crash at my place as well. We'll be sitting by the fire until whenever just chilling and sipping some apple wine. Then the next morning we'll be out for a nice late breakfast.

Then Sunday after breakfast its home to W. MASS where all of our family is, to visit and watch some football. My moms making a nice Sunday dinner...haven't had a nice dinner at my folks for a while so that will be cool. Monday is going to be all relax, maybe in the spirit of Halloween we'll go see a horror movie. Any recommendations? I'm going to make a nice dinner of my own Monday night, a small roast turkey (think mini thanksgiving dinner).

I just love the short work week after a Monday holiday like this...Monday off, work Tuesday, work from home Wednesday, work Thursday, work from home Friday then its the weekend again!

Everyone have a great weekend and enjoy this weather while it lasts!

Sounds like you've got a great weekend going too. Unfortunately I cannot work from home, but it's cool. I don't mind being downtown on a day like this, walking around the Commons and what not. I can't believe I was at ERAC for so long that I never was able to have weekends like this. Especially the day off. It will be great to hang with friends and people and not discuss work or fleet growth or op or esqi. every time I was with ERAC peeps in the day that was the discussion. I guess when you work at ERAC you are never reall off.

Early weekend update!!!

First off, last weekend was a blast. My wife threw me a little surprise party with 35 friends and family and then on Sunday a bunch of us went to the Patriots game, big fun.

The reason for the early update is that in, oh, just about 10 hours I will be getting on a plane and flying to Amsterdam. AFter a couple of days there it's on to Germany for about 6 days and then to Prague to finish off the trip.

Why am I posting this on the ERAC page as my update, because my wife was able to call my boss in May and set this up as a surprise which she gave me on my birthday. My boss was cool with it and even began shifting my work assignments the past few weeks so that I would be free and clear to head off. Try imagining that happening at E-suck! Could you imagine someone calling an ARM and saying that an employee was getting a surprise trip to Europe for their b-day and to make sure the time off was ok and being told by the ARM that nope, it wouldn't work because that branch is already understaffed and whatever? Man, this is why I love NOT working for ERAC. Oh well, auf wiedersehen!
